This story frustrates me.
In three seasons with Golden State, Jackson has missed a combined 76 games. Last season he only played 59.
For someone who missed almost 30% of last season and is assigned the title of “Captain” his trade demands are insulting.
Prior to being traded to the Warriors, Jackson was cast as one of the league’s black sheep. Golden State gave him an opportunity to repair his image and re-establish himself as a player. They then signed him to a lucrative extension. Months later, he asks for a ticket out of town.
You know what Captain Jack, cry to someone else! Between him and Monta “the Scooter” Ellis, their contracts should both be ripped into shreds.
Stephen Jackson is or was the leader of that team. He complains that they’re not trying to compete anymore based on Baron Davis deciding on a whim that he’d like to give the Clippers a shot after GSW made a competitive offer.
Play a full season and be leader. Show a shred of accountability.
I disagree completely.
Wasn't it GS who shut down Jackson when he was saying he could play towards the end of last season with that minor wrist injury?
I don't see how Jackson being displeased with GS's actions (or lack there of) is considered crying?
The guy is 30 years old and is in the prime of his career. He simply wants to compete for a championship, which in my opinion, is much better than all the guys who just care about themselves and post solid numbers on
Edited. Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty teams year after year.
He watched Baron walk, Monta disrespect his contract, and his franchise drafted a guy which simply clutters up the backcourt.
He was on a 29-win-team last season and simply doesn't want to be watching the playoffs on TV in April.
Bring this man to Beantown.
