I don't know about everyone else, but I am pretty excited about tonight's game.  Media hype aside.

I'm rooting for the Packers and hoping Aaron Rodgers comes through in a big way (that's right, I am a fellow Cal guy).  More than that, I want Brett Favre embarrassed.  What I don't want is for the Vikings to win and then hear Favre say in post-game how he didn't know if he was going to play, he was hurting bad, etc etc.

So to recap: I'm rooting for the Packers because (a) I like Rodgers and (b) I don't like Favre.

The one consolation I would take from a Vikings win: they would be one step closer to a Super Bowl appearance against the Pats (where Favre will be embarrassed for sure).

Rooting for Percy Harvin - I need him to score within 1.2 points of Ryan Grant and the Vikings D.  So I guess that means I'm rooting for Rodgers too, so the Pack scores a bunch without Grant getting any.

Other than that, I'm gonna drink anytime the word "Favre" is said outside of calling a play or replay.  So I'm rooting to live to see the sun rise.

my initial reaction was similar to yours - Packers because I hate Favre.  But I really like Adrian Peterson and the fact that he goes hard all the time, truly all the time.  People are 'begging' him to reduce the amount of 'unnecessary' contact, or just to go down rather then fight for the last yard.  And I like that he wont do this, and continues to fight for everything.  He is truly an amazingly special player to watch.

But I'd also like Favre to be embarressed, so i'd like something like a couple picks, no td's, maybe a few painful sacks...I certainly dont want favre to 'win' the game...so if the Vikes are going to, I want it solely on Peterson's shoulders.

I'll tell you who I'm rooting against: Greg Jennings.

Slimmest of leads in my H2H matchup, with Jennings yet to play against me. Yes, I said it, YH.

I'm rooting for Peterson to get more fantasy points than Ryan Grant.  Or, really, I need Peterson, the Packers defense, and Ryan Longwell to score one more point than Grant.

Other than that, I'd like to see them both somehow lose.

Packers to win.  I don't think there is a player in sports right now that I despise more than Brett Favre.

However, I want to see Percy Harvin put up some nice fantasy numbers. Already have the win for the week but never hurts to pad it!

Rooting for the Vikings.  I don't have any problem with Favre once he steps on the field, and Adrian Peterson is one of my favorite players in the league to watch.

haha - I have had multiple weeks with my 'star wr's' getting 0.00 points, so I would say that you have a great chance of seeing that come to fruition.

For those who said they like Peterson -- I'm on board.  I like him a lot, and in general like the Vikes.  Never had anything against them.  Just don't like Favre....

Can't. Stand. Favre.
He and his antics, and how the media gush over him, just really really rub me the wrong way.

I'm rooting against Mike Tirico.  He's the Black Chris Schenkel.  His inane commentary is absolutely nauseating.

As much as people may hate Favre, he can still sling it.  Now that he's not being asked to carry an entire team by himself, he's looking like the QB he used to be.
