Couple thoughts.
It may be now-or-never for Giddens; this is his opportunity to really prove that he's an NBA player, that he deserves at least a few minutes on the court. He's not terribly young, if he's going to be a player we ought to at least start seeing some flashes.
If both Hudson AND Sweetney impress, and they want to keep both around... there's always the possibility now that Walker could be cut. Walker's not going to be of any help for a couple months, and he may be one of those guys that's ALWAYS fighting injuries. If they want/need an extra roster spot - if a decent PG unexpectedly gets cut, or they want to make a trade, Walker's short money, too, they could cut him with minimal financial cost. Not saying that they WILL cut Walker, but we've known since they were drafted that it was ultimately going to be Giddens or Walker, not both.
