How much do starters play in preseason?

I haven't ever really sat down and watched a preseason game and was wondering how much we will see of our starters in these upcoming games? Is it somewhat like football or do they play normal minutes?

I'd agree with that. Maybe a little bit more for Rondo since he's still such a youngin'. I expect to see Marquis and Baby with serious minutes during the preseason, and maybe even Bill Walker.

I wanna see Billy and giddens given most of the mins...pre season should be about checking on the development of these younger players..plus i am yet to see giddens play an Nba game.

Yeah, I'm really interested to see Billy and Giddens get some significant minutes; I also want to see how Marquis and Rasheed mesh with the rest of the second unit.  Hopefully Shelden will get some time, too.  With all of the fantastically talented big men around him, I think we can hope that Shelden will learn how to actually score in the paint.

It depends, but usually not more than 25 min

Billy Walker looked real, real good in his first two pre-season games then was taken out of the offense. Hope that isn't the case this year and he gets 20+ minutes. Hudson should also get minutes so we can see if he's worth keeping.

Tony won't play, so that means good news for our young guards everyone wants to see. Good news for me, too.. Watching TA play 20 minutes over Giddens or Walker wouldn't be good for me.

As for the starters, I'm guessing 20 minutes tops for Ray, KG, and Paul.

Yeah, I'm really glad Tony won't be playing...even if Billy and Giddens don't play a whole lot better than TA, at least we can reasonably hope that they can improve from where they are now.

But it's pre-season so who cares?  I'm anxious to know if he has overcome his injuries and can go back to being a half-way decent backup.

It would've been ideal to check him out in the pre-season.  If we have to wait until regular season games to see where he's at then he's gonna be a risk while he's in the game.
