Russell, Cowens, Parish, Perk. How does Perk stack up?

As good as K-Perk is, he's never going to match up to the other three.
But he could be half as good as them and still be an excellent defensive center, so there's no problem with that.
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?

Yeah, he's in amazing company.

I love Perk but in that company you have 2 of the top 50 players ever (don't think Parish was on that).  Perk is a really good defender but he would backup all 3.

So what?  Only five centers have won titles for the Lakers:  George Mikan, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal and .....Andrew Bynum lol.

Four, championships won in Minnesota don't count, unless you have a man named Kirby on your team. ;)

Bynum is 10 times better than Perk.

Perk is a better choice for the money. Much better defender. Though his offense is still suspect (masked by the people he plays alongside), there is no questioning that the man has the desire to keep getting better. Also, Perk plays more than 40 games a year.

Parish was top 50.

What about the people bynum plays alongside? I'm sure they make it easy on him. Also Bynum sometimes comes off the bench playing 2nd string players. Check out both they're numbers they really aren't that different at all. Not to mention the fact that Perk has been able to stay on the floor in twice as many games as Bynum has i nthe past couple years. That has to be the most underrated stat for a starting NBA player.

I hate the "masking" arguement. Perk's certainly not a go to option, but his offense is lightyears ahead of where it was when he came into the league. I remember when he almost used to send baby hooks through the backboard.

People like to use that same argument for Rondo, too. He was our star in the playoffs, without him and Perk we would have been bounced in the first.
