Perk's defense is right in there with Cowens and Parish. I'm proud that Perk is a Celtic. His offense will never reach them unless he gains a money shot, and range out to 15 feet.

Perkins vs Bynum - each really represents there team well: Perkins - hard worker, gets the most from his talent and body. Whereas Bynum has tons of hype, raw / physical talent.

....I must say though, Bynum has the edge right now, plus he has the potential to be even better. What really bothers me is that Bynum and Gasol are so long and strong - they can really shut down the paint.

Perkins and Garnett let more layups through (especially after the opposition would beat down on the undersized bench, gaining confidence). Hopefully Sheed will squash the confidence of the opponents' 2nd stringers.

Tp. I definitely agree with most of your points. It is funny though that Bynum gets the edge because of hype and potential etc. This is gonna be his 5th year in the league. Perk is considered a veteran when it will still only be his 7th year in the league (they are only a couple years apart.). Also Perk has  actually continued to get better where as Bynum's numbers have gone down a bit from the previous year. The only reason anyone would want to take Bynum over Perk at this point is purely based on potential not productivity. There is no argument statistically at this point to prove that bynum is superior to perk. There is no doubt in my mind that Perk will continue to slowly improve his playing and numbers (as he has since he's been in the league) where as Bynum doesn't really show that he will continue to improve. To me thouhg it all comes back to who is going to stay on the floor the longest. I would much much much much much rather have perk for 75-80 games than bynum 50-55 games....
