That's the ballgame.

A fun one to watch.  I'm glad the two Non-BCS teams were given a shot on this stage.  They didn't disappoint.

I agree ... and while I was pulling for Boise State, I would've enjoyed TCU scoring on that last drive and going into OT ... the pick disappointed me. I hope more people got to see that "BCS" is not quite the elite club that's it's touted to be, or great football isn't limited to it, at least ... great game.

Sad to see that TCU is a member of the not-quite ready for prime time players category. Not quite to the extent that the Hawaii team was, but still. Also good to see Boy Z (as the kids call them) are still a powerhouse.

I disagree, but whatever, they only lose 14 players, and return almost everybody on offense they'll be even better next season.  I expect them to go undefeated again and end up in the top 4 next year.

Even more shocking Boise only loss 5 seniors.  Hopefully next year both these teams  will get to play BSC teams and not be pitted against each other.

Yup, I agree ... if anything, I think this game shows that both teams are worthy of much more respect than they get at present, and that some non-BCS teams are as ready as any for the "Prime-Time" games. Great game ... by two worthy opponents. (TP, Scribbs)

Am I the only one who didn't particularly enjoy this game?  I normally like defensive-minded football as an SEC fan, but this didn't seem like good defense so much as bad offense for the most part.  Jerry Hughes of TCU is a very good player, though, I'm glad I got to see him.

Anyway, this is the last bowl that I expect to be a good fight.  I think Georgia Tech will grill Iowa - Iowa lucked their way through most of the season - and I think Alabama will handle Texas.  We'll see what happens.

I think we still have one good one left and that's Thursday night.

Not expecting much tonight nor too excited about Iowa-GT.

Am I the only one who thought TCU got outplayed on both sides of the ball? Their Vaunted Defense gives up well over 300 yards and their QB throws 3 picks.

Their offense played like a deer in headlights much of the game.  I thought the defense was so-so but clearly had problems with the big play and mid-range rows.  Boise State's tight end was doing some serious damage in that second half.

Boise State looked like they had been on the big stage before (which they have) while TCU didn't look quite ready for primetime.

However, I still thought it was a heckuva entertaining game and didn't sit there thinking one or both of those teams didn't belong in the game.  TCU certainly didn't embarass themselves but they have to be disappointed in the way they played, especially offensively.

I didn't see the game last night but for those that did, does anyone feel that either of those teams could have beat a Bama or Texas or even a Florida team?

No, but I don't think it would be a blowout, either.  TCU can stop the run as well as anyone, so that alone, would make things interesting.  However, I don't think their offense could do anything versus Alabama or Texas.  Florida?  Maybe.

I think Boise State could cause some of those defenses frustration with their gimmicks on offense and their ever-changing schemes on defense.  However, in the end I think either Alabama or Texas would take them out.  I also think they'd have trouble slowing down Florida's offense.

Maybe Texas, as I truly don't think the Longhorns are that good.  I think Alabama would beat either team fairly handily, though.  When it all comes down to it, I still think the two best teams in the country are Alabama and Florida.

I think that either of those teams from last night could hang with Alabama and Texas, but beating them in a 60 min. game is another story.

Honestly, I was more scared by the possibility of playing TCU than I was Boise St.   Shows what I know.

Yeah, Boise St. was definitely the forgotten team.  They had some close games against sub-par competition, and a lot of people (including myself) assumed they weren't as good as the other unbeatens.

I think that Cincinnati is the only team that proved on the field that they didn't belong in the discussion.  You don't give up 51 points in a bowl game with or without a coach and remain relevant.
