The Mavericks are pursuing two-for-one trades, with Nathan Jawai and Shawne Williams? Tony allen anyone?

Doesn't help us personnel-wise, and Tony's expiring contract is a chip that should net a lot more come February.

Shawne Williams is a long (6'9") athletic small forward who would be perfect coming off our bench.

Why would he be perfect coming off the bench? He's another of these uber-athletes that lacks basketball IQ.

I'd would much rather have a veteran that can play defense and plays within the game than a high-flier with a questionable entourage.

He would help us match up with some of these young uber-athletes that have given us trouble in the past. It might just be that I so want to lose TA.
Just playing Devil's Advocate here---if Williams would be that much of an asset, why isn't Dallas keeping or playing him?

They have 16 contracts.

ok, so they have to move someone.  My point is still the same though.  If he's that much of an asset, why wouldn't they keep him and dump someone less valuable?
