House is NOT a point guard.
But he will play there as he did the beginning of both the 07 and 08 season.
I refuse
Don't worry Edgar. He will be playing alongside Daniels all the time and although he will be the listed PG, it will be Daniels and Pierce that will playing the point position.
well then i will be even more worried
I dont trust Daniels and definetly
not Paul getting the ball from side to side of the court with faster people guarding him
After all thats the reason of the Cassels and Marburies of this world
why dont we get our 09 version early this year
and get him to trainning camp..
why why wyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
The problem of course, is that even when Cassell and Marbury were here, they still couldn't always convince Doc to play them over House at the 1. Sometimes he did play them together, but at other times House was the guy out there.
I think the big difference this year is Rondo. In 2008 the fear was that Rondo would crumble in the playoffs and that we'd need a vet to step in. Rondo has clearly proven to be an elite PG who should play close to 40 mpg in the playoffs. Thus, the need for a backup PG is far less dramatic than it used to be.
Plus, for all the flaws Eddie has--and I believe he has a lot--I think he can make up for it if we play him those 8-10 mpg with Pierce, Allen, KG, and Wallace. The damage that unit will be able to inflict in the halfcourt will makeup for whatever he doesn't do with playmaking. It will be impossible to double anyone and our Big Three should be able to destroy people off the dribble or make teams pay with open threes.
As for the 12 man, I think it depends on two things, the play of Tony Allen and the ability for Baby to play the 3.
If Doc loses confidence in TA, it could mean that both Giddens and Walker make the active roster OR that Scal makes it over Williams because Scal can play the wing.
Same with Baby, he's hinted this offseason that he has been working on his jumper. If he proves he can play the 3, it may mean that Doc feels the 3 doesn't need as much depth, which also may open opportunities for Shelden and potentially knock a Giddens or Walker to the IR.
If I had to guess now:
The Starters
Wallace
Daniels
House
Baby
TA
Scal
Williams
Walker
Giddens
Hudson
I know people would like to put Walker ahead of Scal, but let's not forget that Scal played big minutes in the playoffs. Walker didn't. I don't see Doc letting Walker beat him out unless he really makes a case for it.
