I am not ready to call this a done deal yet.  The only thing different between this report and the 5 other reports we have had of this ending soon is that it says tomorrow instead of by the end of the week.  I'll believe its done when I see it.

...  except that all the other reports have been "It'll be done soon, they're just trying to make this a trade instead of the LLE" whereas this report is "they've given up on doing a trade and WILL sign him with the LLE."  Bulpett's telling us that the parties involved have given up on a S&T, which (assuming he's got a good source) is an important difference.

On another note, if this is indeed by LLE, then this eats up most of our roster spots, as I now count 14 roster spots used up with the signing of Daniels, and that does NOT include Lester Hudson. 

So unless we make a trade, it seems that it's going to be Hudson or a vet PG, not both. 

And put me down for the vet PG.  While I don't see the vet PG beating out House, I certainly don't see Lester doing so either.  And the PG would give us another look that House doesn't.  Hudson would just be more of the same.

I would be glad if Daniels signed tomorrow but I would prefer to acquire him by a trade rather than with the LLE...

Finally!  Bullpet's report being posted on this blog demonstrates that my checking CelticsBlog every 1-2 hours was not a nervious tick or addiction, but instead was a completely rational and a good use of my time as it has allowed me to learn 14 hours earlier than I would have learned reading the Herald in the morning that M. Daniels will be signed tomorrow.

God I hate the off season, though I am thankful for this site.  I cannot wait for preseason games!

I think the think to remember on roster spots is we have a log jam at sg.  Ray Allen (and no he is not to be traded!), Tony Allen, Giddens, House, Daniels...am I forgetting anyone?  I can't see TA or Giddens here after the trading deadline unless both really show a lot more.  Only 1-2 young guys will be kept to develop, Walker who can play sf, Hudson pg (both needed posistions) and Giddens sg
