Well for one thing this deal seems to indicate Danny values Walker/Giddens as prospects.
Or that no one values them at all. I tend to think it's that more than Ainge valuing them.
As for the logjam at the 2, I don't think it's as bad as some people point out. There isn't a whole lot of difference between the 2 and 3, and guys like Giddens and Daniels certainly can and will play the 3 at times. Furthermore, no matter how he actually functions on the floor, I expect House to be the backup "point guard" in the sense that he's the guy who will be on the floor when Rondo is out of the game. Now he might also be on the floor with Daniels, who may be bringing the ball up the court. But I don't expect to see House play a lot of 2 this year. It's just bad from a defensive standpoint.
I also don't like Hudson as the third PG. He's probably less of a PG than House and with his level of experience being nonexistent, I really don't like him at that spot.
If we need to cut him, so be it. I highly doubt we're ever going to rue the day we cut Lester Hudson.
