8. Rajon Rondo, Boston - After nearly averaging a triple-double (16.9 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 9.8 apg) over 14 playoff games, the 23-year-old Rondo seemed poised to rake in the spoils over the summer, only to have Danny Ainge go public with an on-air admonishment on WEEI, questioning his commitment and maturity. It will be interesting to see how he starts the season, but given his feisty, competitive temperament, expect him to come out with a chip on his shoulder. A restricted free agent come summer, improving his jumper and making smarter decisions could make him a very rich man.

I can understand the first 5 but I do not at all understand Derrick Rose at 6 over Rondo... I feel that at this point in his career people overate Derrick Rose... Don't get me wrong he is a very good pg though as we all know from last  years playoffs.

I agree - 8th overall is probably about right for Rondo but I'd put Gilbert ahead of him and Rose behind.  Rose is GOING to be a top 6 PG someday, but today ain't that day.

On that list I'd put Rondo at 5. I think he passes Nash this season.

Rose and Harris are too high, though Harris only drops a little in my rankings.

For my top 10 I would have

Paul
Williams
Billups
Parker
Harris
Nash
Rondo
Rose
Gilbert Arenas (If healthy)
Russell Westbrook

Rondo after this season probably will be ahead of Nash and maybe Harris.

That's a pretty good list. I'd switch Nash and Rondo, take Westbrook off the list and replace him with Calderon at this point. Maybe next year that'll change.

I'm also a sucker for older pgs I would consider Andre Miller or Jason Kidd to round out the top 10, instead of Westbrook or Calderon.

How lucky are we to have Rondo, I mean after the top 10 or so PG's the talent really really drops off. Imagine if we were going into this season with Brooks, or Fisher, or Mo Williams as our pg.

I'm a little surprised that Jameer is so low on the PBN list and that Mike Bibby didn't make the top 20.

Tony Parker is the best point in the league followed closely by Paul. Rondo has the chance to solidify top 5 this coming season.

1) Parker
2) Paul
3) Billups
4) Williams
5) Rondo

From the content of the article I don't think this is for fantasy purposes.

agreed, rose is the real deal and will get up there but not yet
nash is a defensive liability, runs a nice offense but 1 dimensional at this pt in his career
I'd have right now Rondo at 5th, I think you can flip flop parker & billups either way and I wouldn't argue.  As I've stated many a time:
What pg would you trade straight up for rondo? for me it would be Paul only.

Hard to figure how this guy got a writing job.  Monta Ellis, AI and Westbrook are points in stature only.  Is Eddie House a point guard--not in my opinion.  Nevertheless I still come out with Rondo 8th after moving Harris and Rose below him & Gilbert and Baron above him--I think we have to assume each player is healthy or they shouldn't count at all.

Biggest problem with this list:

Devin Harris, Gilbert Arenas, Baron Davis, Monta Ellis, Russell Westbrook, Allen Iverson, Rodney Stuckey and Mo Williams are not true point guards.
