Professional athletes use PEDs.  In other news, the sky is blue.
God bless and good night!

Seems like a Boston fan acting like everyone did it so no biggie.

The 2004 Sox those loveable band of characters that came back from the depth of an insurmountable 3-0 ...  were FRAUDS

The Red Sox sold their souls to be the Yankees.

Bait the Sox fans if makes you feel better, but it doesn't take away what happened on the field.

I'm not defending anybody.  Can't really blame Selig for milking the era.  He's employed based on the profitability of the product.  Can't really blame the players for maximizing their income.  Why should they have cared if the league didn't?  The investigation was morbidly dishonest and made by morbidly dishonest people.  The reality is that the investigation, because of the obvious crooked, circus-like nature of it and the crooked, conflicted polititian conducting it, should have discredited the game far more than any drug use did.

Tickets cost a fortune.  If people think the game is credible, they'll go.   If this dog and pony show of an investigation humors the fans enough to keep them buying tickets, what  else  matters to Selig?

Actually, based on Selig's sterling character, nothing should.

But what offends me is how Selig and MLB used players like McGuire, Sosa, Brady Anderson, Greg Vaughn, Clemens, Bonds etc....Knowing exactly what was happening.  After the era is milked completely, suddenly, Selig morphs into some kind of paragon of virtue.  Then in their flagrant acts of self-preservation, they trash the very people who made them rich in the first place.  It's like using a show steer for meat after it can no longer be shown.

Bud Selig is a piece of excrement.

I'm not a big fan of baseball.  I watch it I'm just not vested in who wins and loses.  Oh and I'm not baiting anyone.  I believe what I posted and it's definitely true.

The Red Sox fans ragged on the Yankees for years for 'buying' their championships.  Then they were Roiders.  The old saying if you can't beat 'em join 'em applies here.

The Player's Union alone were the cause of downfall of the league.  They refused testing until Congress stepped in.

Nope just very anti  - hypocrisy.  Fans who blame Bud Selig are doing so to alleviate the responsibility to their team.

I think everybody is implicit in this.  I think Selig and his cronies are collossally hypocritical by suddenly acting like they care.

Selig is milking this from both ends.

Youre acting like the Red Sox had once claimed that they were the purest thing in baseball, representing good in a battle against evil.  Cant beat them, join who???  The rest of the league??  The whole MLB was using steroids, not just the Yankees.  I promise you players on the Red Sox were doing steroids even while the Yankees had beat them in playoffs in the years before 2004, and so was the rest of the league.  So again, how does If you cant beat them join them apply?  And when did the Red Sox team ever say that they werent on steroids and that the Yankees were?  I understand Ortiz had acted like he hadnt done them, but youre going to use the actions of one player to judge an entire team?  Not to mention that hes not the only player whos been caught lieing.

You say youre not being a bitter Yankees fan, and are unbias on the subject but it sure doesnt look that way.

Pointing the finger on a subject like this is completely stupid, because honestly baseball in general has really just become the skid mark on the underpants of professional sports over the past several years.

Can the players whose positive results were leaked from this "anonymous" test administered by Major League Baseball not sue the absolute crap out of the League for allowing these results to leak out?  This leak by the MLB has had a huge and lasting effects on all of these guys' reputation, even though they were told that the results were anonymous.  While they were "morally" wrong, steroids were not against MLB rules, and I have to think if I was one of these guys like A. Rod, Papi, Manny, I would fight back in court.

It wasnt against MLB rules, but steroids are illegal in our country.  If my boss never told me I couldnt smoke crack on the job, it doesnt make it ok for me to do it.........however I do understand what youre getting at.  The MLB broke the terms of the agreement when they did the testing.  I'm actually suprised there hasnt been a strike or something yet over this.
