most guys that roided up were yankees.....clemens, Jose, arod, giambi, sheff, pettite....the roids were going through the yankees like taco bell through me...not to mention you had doc gooden and strawberry playing on the sauce....the yankees are filthy

The only reason all the guy who were outed for steroids were Yankees is because when the owner of the Red Sox ran the Mitchel report he only investigated the Yankees.  Inmagine that.  Oh wait, he looked at the Mets too to make it look better.
I'll give you the only Red Sox listed was then current RP Eric Gagne...however it just wasn't Yankee and Met players.   ::)

I know that may seem like the case on the surface but that fact of the matter is that the trainers who were the informants for the Mitchell reports, worked in New York.  So obviously more of their information is going to be about the New York players that they supplied.  So there could be (and most likely is) just as many players on every other club in the MLB as there was on the Yankees.  Brian Roberts on the Orioles even admitted trying steroids, that should put things in perspective.

I share the same opinion that someone mentioned earlier.  Baseball use to be my favorite sport, I loved it, but all this steroid crap just numbed me to the sport, I just dont care anymore about it.

Man what a mess...

As far as I'm concerned, the entire league was on roids, it was part of the game that has been removed and its time to move on. I don't wanna hear one more word about steroids. It has completely ruined baseball for me. I grew up loving the game and now I don't want any part of it. What is this world coming to?

The worst part is, ESPN wont leave it alone. They provide almost all of the national media coverage and they are force feeding this info all over America. I really wish they would just shut up about it and stop ruining our national past time.

Wow, this really puts me in a huge bummer mood. I have been die hard Sox fan since I was five and my most prized possession is hanging on my wall in front of my desk..signed David Ortiz picture..now I am torn on what to do with it..I feel he cheated the sport as so many others have done..cheated the fans..and let us all down

My love for baseball is severely being tested here and I am not sure what to do about this..these players of today have and continue to tarnish the game with performance enhancing drugs...they lie..cheat...and do whatever is necessary to gain an unfair advantage..We know many are doing HGH now and it does not take a genius to figure out who..

I also feel the World Series that we won were won in a dirty era filled with cheaters...God..I am torn...disappointed...bummed about what has happened to the sport of baseball...this sucks...I wish that list would just be released already and that the union would allow for testing of all performance enhancing drugs. What type of example are these players of today teaching our youth...cheat..cheat..cheat..to make as much as possible...It is a disgrace and now my picture of Big Papi is staring at me with his cheating eyes..ugh...what a horrible day for Sox fans

Same reaction as during the ARod scandal: Total lack of surprise bordering on indifference... Everyone did it. It's shameful

RELEASE THE WHOLE 2003 LIST

same exact reaction, but the list shouldn't be leaked, its an illegal obtained document off a bad search.

(siderant)It would be nice to know all the names, but the scumbag way the investigators tried to sneak that in still irks me. Glad the judge tossed it, though i have no love for bonds.

I don't care about the content of the list, if that makes sense, i care that the government tried to contend that any file saving device that is turned on and in plan site (i.e a computer, i-phone, ect) is the exact same thing as a piece of paper left out on a desk, and thus should be subject to "in plain sight" rules on limited scope warrents. that's a scary line of thought, to me.

I don't know why anybody pays attention to any of this.

How does a person sort through or believe any of this crap?  You have a washed up partisan political hack with a patently obvious conflict of interest running a crooked investigation where drug activity is "discovered" about current players from pretty much every team but his.  Then you have National Enquiresque articles written by idiots where one in 10 might have credibility.

Did Ortiz juice?  Manny?  Clemens?  Bonds? Palmiero? McGuire?  Who knows?  Who cares?  Selig, Mitchell and MLB, and ESPN milked an era for everything it was worth and now choose to trash it and the era's players when the players (or at least most of them who created the rabid interest in the game at that time) can no longer play.  They still want to cash in on these player's names...now in a negative way now that they're no good to them on the field.  It speaks to Selig and Mitchell's zero character.

When attendance suffers substantially and Selig can trace it to this, it'll be addressed in earnest.  Until then, we'll have these tabloid stories about big names incrementally leaked out for the Selena Hill's  or Jamelle Roberts of the world (Names inverted because they're interchangable media parts) or name-your-hack beat reporter to give the illusion that anybody in MLB cares about cleaning up the game.

What a freaking joke.

I dont think it should be leaked, and I know the players union would have kittens over this, but they should just release the list, so the media fans and everyone can just throw their collective tantrum and finally get the whole thing over with.  Baseballs been saying forever that theyre trying to move on from steroids and get out of that era but its never going to happen if a new name from this list pops up every 6 months.

Come on, we all know these guys were juicing. Almost every baseball hero of the last 20 years is getting picked-off one by one. McGwire, Sosa, Conseco, Bonds, A-Rod, Giambi, Manny, Palmiero, I'm sure I missed some. I guess you can only be disappointed if you feel the game was remotely legit at that time..

Is the game legit now?  Was it legit before Sosa/McGuire when the players were popping speed at the same levels that they juiced after?  When was  it ever legit based on your standard?  Did Pete Rose make the whole game illegitimate during his era?  Curt Flood?  Negro League players not able to participate?  Shoeless Joe Jackson?   When, Mr Truth, was the game legit?

I'm not sure if you're defending MLB, but I'm curious how you might defend baseball allowing steroid abuse..

i agree the investigation was a joke, but they did turn up that hard list of positive tests. (illegally, due to a bad search.)

Thus, while the guy may have had ulterior motives, and in my view go above and beyond the American justice system he did in fact turn up a list of steroid users.

of course people are going to be interested in that, legality of the list aside. Doesn't make the motives for the investigation any more valid, but it doesn't suddenly excuse the list from existence, nor make people less interested in who was doping in 2003.
