You guys are good.  If I have it correct, your roster is:

Tim Duncan / Theo Ratliff
Kenyon Martin / Brandon Bass
Thad Young / Corey Brewer
Ben Gordon / Dahntay Jones
TJ Ford / Jerryd Bayless / Antonio Daniels

Correct?

I like it.  I don't you as well as I do our team, but I think you have a very solid team.  You're too small in the back court, I think, and I'm not sold on any of your bench other than Bass.  However, there's a ton of talent there.

Your team matches up fairly well with the Shaq / Jermaine combo, meaning in all likelihood we'd start Rashard at the 4 against you.

I feel GM's should be breaking down their teams down in minutes. After all, it's a key element in whether or not a player will be content on your team. I see a lot of talent packed onto some teams with only so many "game-time" minutes to go around. I envision some uneasy stars and young players.

That's our current roster... We made a big move today to get KMart. I know you don't like my backcourt and I understand why, but I don't see anyone on Portland roster who can stay with Ford offensively either. He's actually one of the few players in the league that can outRondo Rondo so to speak...

I actually like a lot parts of my bench, for grit and toughness etc. Bayless and Daniels will be successful now and in the future, as Daniels doesn't turn the ball over at all and has size, as does Bayless, so Jerryd will learn from Daniels a lot. One other thing, I drafted Thaddeus Young with the expectation that he was going to take a major step forward this year. He's a guy to watch at the 6 month mark, I promise that.

I do like your team as well quite frankly, I'm not going to lie about it because you're a division opponent. I think an actual game between our two teams in real life would be extremely fun to watch and competitive. I'm just saying, it's early to christen Portland champions just yet. That may be, but it's not a complete lock as long as this roster is alive. Bottom line, no chance in hell there's a better division then the Northwest.

Ok, just don't try to sell me that Manu will be content with 10 minutes a game. Cause I'm not buying it  ;)

Excellent team.  You know your strengths, so forgive me for focusing on weaknesses (i.e., picking nits).  I hate QRich, and think he's a drain on a good team.  I'd prefer a better shooter at SF for your team, although the other guys help mitigate that.  I'm not completely sold on Duhon as your PG, or Skinner as a backup PF.

That being said, I like your team a ton.  How do you see yourself stacking up with the other teams in your division?

We'll probably have 9 guys averaging 25 - 30 minutes per game each, with the other three active guys being situational subs.  Also, we plan to liberally give guys the night off, to keep them healthy for the playoffs.  82 games is a grind, so we're going to mix it up.

Like this team's makeup, specifically the starting 5. They all seem like they would mesh well together. My one issue with this team is with defense. Save for Howard obviously I don't see really anyone even slightly above average on defense. A defensive stopper off the bench to play the wing a good 20 minutes would be beneficial for this group
