I'm done. its not a surrender, its a strategic maneuver.

Haha.  The surrender already happened, here:

That is the biggest flaw I think my team has. Your team's size matches up really well against my personell. Chuck Hayes is a heckuva defender but he can't keep Shaq from going where he wants to go. Neither can Darko. That is truth. Darko can maybe dukes it out with Brad Miller or JO (but unless his play improves, which it might not..he can't handle those guys either).

Have a good night.  Maybe you'll find a competent big defender with your pick at the end of the 11th round.

Picked up a solid starter and moved Odom to his Laker championship role. I feel I have the best player, deepest bench, most balance and most talent in my division. I've heard some positive feedback but I'm curious what others think? Any suggestions out there?

Boston Celtics

Starters:
PG - Rafer Alston (34 MPG)
SG - Dwayne Wade(36 MPG)
SF - Rasual Butler (30 MPG)
PF - Antonio McDyess(25 MPG)
C - Nenê(36 MPG)

6th Man:
SF/PF - Lamar Odom (30 MPG)

Role Players:

PG/SG - Leandro Barbosa (25 MPG)
PF/C - Chris Andersen (24 MPG)

SF - Rasual Butler (30 MPG)    <<Artest
PF - Antonio McDyess(25 MPG)   <<Garnett
C - Nenê(36 MPG)               <Camby

6th Man:
SF/PF - Lamar Odom (30 MPG)    >Finley
Role Players:[/b]
PG/SG - Leandro Barbosa (25 MPG) =Brooks
PF/C - Chris Andersen (24 MPG)   =Ilgauskas
                                 <Belinelli

Your only advantage in the starting lineup is DWade, but thats why I took a defensive specialist in Afflalo that I think will be able to slow down Wade and force him into the teeth of my defense.  Odom is good coming off the bench.  I think Brooks and Ilgauskas are equivalent to barbosa and Anderson.  Ilgauskas and Anderson have incredibly different games, but I dont think there is anyway that he can match up on Z defensively. But the same could be said for anderson that with his explosiveness on the offensive end Z cant cover him.  I think your starting 5 is pretty weak but you do have good bench play

Toronto = Weak bench, Brooks is a starter not a role player. I hear he's unhappy about being placed back on the bench. You have a big hole at the 2 and no scorer. Picture Minnesota 2007.

Toronto is clearly toward the bottom of the division.

Rondo2287, I don't want to argue with you. You lost a lot of credibility in my eyes when you said "Mcydess would never be a starter on a contender" sorry.

How many points do you think you score against my team?  And you are really going to fault me because my backup pointguard is too good? Are you for real?

DWade rips Affalo apart. More than enough to make up for KG and Camby, thats even if Camby can play half a season.

Not sure what that means, but all accounts are that Afflalo will be starting in Denver because of his Defense and 3 point shooting

Dallas Mavericks

Starters

PG - Jason Kidd
SG - Jason Terry
SF - Shawn Marion
PF - Josh Smith
C  - Troy Murphy

Bench

C  - Erick Dampier
SF - Peja Stojakovic
PG - Steve Blake
G/F - Marquis Daniels
F/C - Julian Wright

i'll save my "dynamic offense" rant for another time, since i'm bound to go on forever...

i think we get a bad rap in terms of people judging team defense.  People see troy murphy at the 5 and think we'll be in trouble.  Reality is that Kidd, Marion, and Smith are all (at minimum) above average defenders when they dig in.  Concerns over Terry's height are legit, but he can always be swiched onto the PG and have Kidd cover the 2-guard.  Murphy is undersized, but rebounds like a fiend and is a very cerebral player; he will take his medicine from time to time, but that's what old friend Erick Dampier is on the roster for.

When we need to go big, we can go Dampier, Murphy, Smith, Daniels, and Kidd.  When we need shooting we can go Murphy, Marion, Stojakovic, Terry, Blake.  Basically our flexibility allows us to match up in any situation while also imposing our punishing up-tempo offense on the opposition.
