Well, the Sonics believe in the soul, the c---, the p----, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. We believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. We believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. We believe in the sweet spot, soft-core ****ography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and we believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

And defense and rebounding.

My team has just purchased this plane to make sure there was enough room for all the size.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Reason #103 why voting here is subjective and every vote should be counted no matter what:

I just took a look and I think I'm the only person that looked at Minnesota and saw a playoff team there. But no one agrees with me. Oh well.

I'd love to hear why?

I actually subscribe to nicks idea of winning basketball: rebounding and defense. As I mentioned earlier in this thread I like Nelson/Salmons/RJ on the perimeter as 2-way players. Perimeter defense, the ability to deny penetration is a huge deal for me. It's one of the reasons GSW just missed the grade. Randolph is not a defender but offensively he can still get it done in the post and he can still rebound. Damp has veteran playoff experience as a backstop. So does Bonner who gives them a bit of a different look when needed. Those things mean something to me.

Those things mean something to me, its why I gave up a lot in talent wise for guys like Oberto, or probably reached for Bowen and put a lot of faith in Roger Mason Jr.

But that aside, Randolph is a team killer in terms of offense and defense, scoring and rebounding ability aside.

I think if Jefferson comes through this year for the Spurs my concept of this team goes up. If Randolph can keep his yapper shut and not play like he thinks he the last man on earth my concept of this team goes us.

But like you I believe in winning, and I don't see any team with Zbo on it in the playoffs for a long time.

Later on what's always struck me funny about that quote is that he plays a guy that thinks Lee Harvey acted alone and then later goes on to play another role trying to prove he didn't.

(sigh)meaningless fact at 9:19pm. It is so time to go home.

I'll co sign that plus to me Nelson proved he's too stupid right now to win in the playoffs what with that absolutely horrifying performance in the Finals being outplayed by Derek Fisher. What is Fisher now? 45? 50?
