At first I thought let's go and get him but then I thought about it more. If we sign BBD, and we sign Warrick, Hakim would be the 3rd string 3 and 4. Would he sign here to be a 3rd stringer? Probably not. If we don't sign BBD I want a wide bodied rebounder not a tweener to replace him aka I'd rather have Diogu. I like Warrick's game but I don't see where he fits in with us.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Not enough minutes here to entice Warrick to sign for cheap. He'll sign with a bad team for part of their MLE..

I'll take Warrick over Baby, especially if we still have Scal hanging around.

Rondo with Warrick and Garnett on the floor should be interesting to see.

I agree with this, completely. Warrick over Baby and Scalabrine. KG/Sheed/Perk/Warrick is a really, really strong front court.

Can Memphis sign and trade him? I really don't want to see him going to LAL, CLE, or Orlando.

Really now?  What has this guy done for you to want him more than Big Baby?  He's been a backup on one of the worst teams in the league.  Plus, he can't play center.

I'd like to have Warrick, even if it is at the expense of Big Baby, but I don't know if we have what it takes to get it done.

Warrick is, in my opinion, exactly the kind of guy we need on this team: Long, athletic, and versatile. He can guard both forward positions, and he can alter shots in the paint.

With Sheed and Warrick, Baby would be unnecessary. We would be better suited to let him walk and throw the minimum at Sheldon Williams or Diogu. A bench of House, Allen, Daniels, Warrick, and Wallace is looking pretty good to me, with Diogu or Williams as an off the bench bruiser specialist.

He can't shoot and he can't play center.  He may be long and athletic, but that doesn't mean he's any good.

And why would we need him to play center when you have KG, Sheed... oh and Perk?

Allen isn't on the bench in that case. He's GONE. I would really like a bench of Marbury/House/Daniels/Warrick/Sheed. But there's no way we get Warrick with the LLE. Maybe Big Baby S+T (starting at $5M) + Pruitt for Warrick (starting at $2.5M) + Haddadi?

I'd like to see Warrick come here as a backup, but we'd be offering him fewer minutes for less money than pretty much any other team.  He's more likely to wind up somewhere like Dallas or Portland.  Either way I'm glad to see him get out of Memphis and get a chance to see what he can do on a decent team.

I believe he ends up in Dallas for part of the MLE to replace Brandon Bass.

What makes you so certain that Scal isn't going to be the one dealt in a sign and trade?

I'd rather have BBD than Warrick. Much higher BB IQ OMO.  Also proven he fits in very well to our system. Warrick would be a big unknown. For all his length and athleticism, a below average rebounder, which is really what we need if we are to replace BBD.

Memphis will be a lot better than years past.  I actually really like what Memphis has done and their core is incredibly young with a lot of talent.  Arthur is 20.  Conley and Mayo are 21.  Gay is 22.  Thabeet is 22.  Gasol is 24.  Even Randolph is still just 27 (though I think he is gone in two years anyway).  If those young guys continue to improve and Gay or Mayo develops into a superstar, they will be a great team in a few years (assuming of course they keep it together).

BTW, Warrick, quite simply, just isn't that good.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

Nope, but with Daniels a SG/SF onboard I'd love to have him for our bench. It'd give us a pretty versitile bench, assuming we got BBD back. I don't think he'd take the LLE from us though. (assuming we sign and trade for Daniels)

Nah, he hasn't done much, but I'm a Syracuse fan so I'd like to see him do well, and would love to see him do it for the C's.  I do think he'll be more effective as a role player on a more talented team that can move the ball well.  Regardless I think he'd improve our bench and give us another guy to spell Pierce and KG, but it ain't happening.

I'm still laughing at Memphis wanting to free up money for free agents. Who's going to sign with them and what does this $3M have to do with it?

Your Memphis Grizzlies -- unable to afford Pau Gasol, more than happy to pay Zach Randolph.
