I'm disappointed that I didn't have the time to put my name in.  Jesus has more followers than anyone else in the world (past or present).
Sorry Edgar, I couldn't vote Devils for this category.  Evil never prevails.

If was open for a couple of days,  Gotta keep the ball rolling a little bit.
I'm all for ball rolling.
To be honest, I probably could've posted my team the past couple nights when I got home, but I was just too tired to either  A. start another religious argument, or  B. defend my team against Edgar saying dragqueens make bad world conquerors.

I saw you logged on this page when I was posting the poll.  Figured maybe you were working on something, and I'd add you after...Doesn't have to be much...

I read your post that you were gonna put up the post later that night, so I started to write something, but then I got sidetracked and when I came back the poll was up so I just gave up.  I procrastinated way too much to even deserve an add-on.
I actually started writing my post a couple times right when the title said present your team, but I have this awful habit of walking off to do something while I'm in the middle of a post, and then I end up closing my browser or shutting off my computer before I finish it.
I blame my ADD.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

And the winner of the World Domination category is:

FAIRWEATHERFAN

Who gave us this gem of a Batman laced report on his team

Team TBD was designed around a few characteristics: leadership, strategic thinking, technological savvy, and chemistry.  Sure, it's fun to have 10 superpowered guys running around beating up women and children, but if you're going to hold on to your gains, sooner or later you're gonna need an army of underlings, and you're gonna need the tactical knowledge to use them to further your ruthless agenda.

Leadership/Strategy:

Alexander the Great: the finest field general in human history, conquered more of the known world than anyone.  Maybe the greatest military mind of all time, he had no equal in his time and no equal since.  Alexander is always two steps ahead of his opposition.

Grand Admiral Thrawn:  The greatest tactical mind in the Star Wars Universe, Thrawn has conquered hundreds of worlds - one more is short work for him, especially with the kind of army we'll be putting together for him.  His understated leadership style and lack of ego makes him a perfect second-in-command to Alexander.

Batman:  Though a bit of a loner, shows great leadership ability in a fight.  Also known as the world's greatest detective, Batman has keen insight into the minds of those who oppose him.  Batman will also be responsible for bomb disposal:

KG: Everyone will fight harder out of fear of what KG might do to them if they lose.  This is especially true of KG himself.

Technological savvy:

Brainiac: Expert in creating and controlling extremely advanced technology.  His knowhow will be the cornerstone of Team TBD's technological strategy.

Tesla:  The greatest electrical engineer and one of the finest theoretical minds in history - combined with Brainiac's technology, he'll be responsible for creating an army of robotic nightmares to topple the world's governments.

Voltron:  Not necessarily technologically savvy itself, Voltron is highly advanced technology.  His inner workings will be reverse-engineered by Brainiac and Tesla to create Team TBD's robot army.  If one Voltron can conquer space, surely an army of upgraded Voltrons can take over one measly planet.  We'll also be miniaturizing Voltron's workings to create wearable robot suits for some of our more mortal team members.

Batman:  The ultimate gadget guy, Batman is a talented inventor and mechanic.  He makes the perfect lab assistant to Brainiac and Tesla.  Or, he will, once he gets rid of that bomb...

Chemistry:

There are no pesky do-gooders on this team - everyone involved will be on board with world conquest from Day 1.  Heck, several of them have made it their life's ambition.  Nor are there any flighty, unfocused, self-centered members like Zeus or Dr. Manhattan.  Team TBD has one goal, and they will not rest until they get it, by any means necessary.

Sure, there are lots of alternatives out there, with immensely powerful members.  But what are you gonna do when Voltron rolls up on you and KG, Batman, and Bruce Lee come storming out in mini-Voltron rocket suits?  Team TBD will sweep over the world like a black wave, starting just as soon as Batman finishes up.

Man, some days you just can't get rid of a bomb...

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.MIT!

I QUIT!

Okay, just kidding. But really, I should take a 12-24 hour CB sabbatical.

Moving to the "Funniest" category.  I'd like to handle this category a bit differently.  I am a firm believer that a joke isn't all that great for the audience if you have to explain.  That said, I'd like for the other contestants in the Ultimate Draft to nominate the teams they feel worthy of being on the poll for this category.  You can either say what you think is funny or not.  You may not nominate your own team.

Here are the rosters

2 not only one Ninja Turtle picked by two diferent guys..

Come on , chuck norris is always fun  ...that pick was great too

Dennis Rodman in  chick team , i founf that one hilarious

I will say the next one is smart, yet funny, the marlboro man, picked by his ability to kill the humanity.

my fast 2 cents.

Awesome, thanks everyone for the votes.  I can assure you when the time comes we will do our best to make sure your deaths are quick and painless, or that your lifetime of slavery will be near a window.  ;)

It's a shame that animated .gif got borked so quick though, I loved that one.

I won't be nominating my team for funniest but Green Man will be standing on the sidelines cheering everyone on between huffs of glue and catfood.

Edit: Oh, I CAN'T nominate my own team anyway.  Well I'm sure we can all agree there's nothing funny about your merciless mini-Voltron suit wearing overlords.

I've decided I'd like to nominate Celtic Fan Forever for funniest team, for skipping 7 consecutive rounds and somehow improving his team in the process.   Team ScaljaBoy Hilton deserves consideration.

It's a bummer that team wasn't completed.  It's probably funnier than all the rest even playing shorthanded.
