or what about a three-way with DET and IND where we end up with DaJuan Summers + Marquis Daniels?

then we use the LLE to go after Diogu...

and sign Powe with the last roster spot.

I'd take Maxiell over Davis in a heartbeat.

Last season, Davis averaged 7 pts and 4 rbs in 22 minutes a game, before stepping it up in the playoffs.

In his best season, Maxiell averaged 8 pts and 5 rbs in 22 minutes a game.

I'll take the short power forward who can shoot the j.

BTW, Davis' effective shooting percentage (eFG) on jump shots was just under 37% last year. Maxiell's was just under 35%.

Considering that Maxiell is nearly as effective as Davis in Davis' only real skill, I'll definitely take Maxiell.

I'd probably trade Davis for Brown. You cannot teach size. We would have one of the biggest and most dynamic front courts in the league.

I'd then go ahead and throw the LLE at Joey Graham, Rashad McCants, and Flip Murray, in the hopes that one of them bites, and hopefully that one being Flip. But, in all honesty, any one of those guys would be solid.

House
Flip, Graham, McCants
Daniels
Wallace
Brown

Yet more evidence that you can find statistics to back up any idiotic contention.  Like how Maxiell averaged a whopping 3.8 pts and 3.3 rebs in the playoffs, while Davis put up 15.8 pts and 5.6 rebs.

If we can get anything of value, I'd definitely do it.  Just no Kwame Brown.. although I might have to consider it..

TP to you Prof for the detroit announcer comment :)

No, you don't need consider it. If we are going to get Kwame we're better off giving Davis away for free.

Touche. Davis definitely picked it up during the latter half of the season, when he received the lion's share of KG's minutes.

I don't see how Davis remains anywhere near as effective when he's only getting 15-20 minutes a night, though. Look at his game log, when he played less than 20 minutes, and his shooting percentages yo-yo pretty dramatically.

Garnett got injured in mid February... Davis' jumpshot started falling with consistency in January.

Of course they do.  When you're a bench player who's largely expected to pick up garbage points, your shooting percentage will naturally fluctuate.

Using newfangled stats to back up idiotic contentions is one of the staples of modern sports discussions.
