Why would the Pacers give him away for nothing? He´s a good player when healthy, and his contract is expiring, IIRC. If there are really other players involved, it´s probably someone like Tinsley or Foster.

Please Danny, no Tinsley.

Just thinking.  What if Utah gets involved as the 3rd team?  They want Big Baby Davis and they want to get rid of Boozer.  Maybe it will be a 3 or 4 team trade.  I still think Ford is too costly for a back up PG and I don't want to give up Rondo.  Maybe Ford is going elsewhere and Boozer is coming in to replace BBD.  Almost makes my head hurt thinking about it.

I doubt Boozer is coming here.  There isn't enough minutes for him.

How much does Jeff Foster make? If we trade for Daniels I would be very interested to see if we still go out and get someone with the LLE.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If a third team were involved, I still say "How about Sacramento?" They need a PG and are not happy with Beno Udrih. We covet Nocioni and it solves money issues for Indiana.

Boston gets Nocioni
Sacramento gets T.J. Ford
Indiana gets Scal, Tony, Walker

Add parts and picks to make salaries work, we still get Daniels. Indiana saves 8.5 million minimum, Sacramento gets the 'top flight' PG they desire. Everyone is happy.

I don't know much about TJ's NBA career, but, if the C's get him, does this open up a Rondo trade?  I hope not, because I do like Rondo (been defending him since he was drafted).

Just throwing it out there.

Everyone would certainly include me, if wee can bring in Daniels and Nocioni to be our back up wings that would be sweet.

Except that's ignoring the fact that Sacramento has fully committed to having Tyreke Evans as their "top tier" PG of the future.  Obtaining Ford would go against everything they have tried to sell their fans on.  This deal is not going to happen.

Ford w/Daniels ? I am now softening on this deal RT @CMSB: Hearing TJ Ford might be joining Marquis Daniels in Celtics green. #celtics

but oddly I couldn't find the original post on CMSB's twitter (he may have deleted it)

Man, I'd lose my mind if he came to Boston. TJ's game is annoying as a full on starter you have to depend on, but as a backup, in a duel role at this stage in his career, yippee! I'd hate to be a tired, old PG trying to guard these cats for 7 games.

Why do you want to pay that type of money for your back up PG who will play 12-15 minutes a game.

Exactly.  Remember, Ford was traded from Toronto because he refused to even SHARE equal minutes with Jose Calderon.  Nevermind play a reduced backup role.  There is no way he would be happy here doing that.
