Makes you wonder that if the general manger was anyone besides Larry Bird then would they have so many white players?

Would be a great trade if we could pull it off.  I love his flexibility playing different positions.

I loved Daniels when he was on Dallas. His numbers look great considering he'd be a back-up. Sign him and Baby and I think we're good.

From a basketball perspective I think he's a great fit. From a tattoo standpoint, well, he could stand to improve..

Could be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if Scal gets bought out and ends up back in Boston.
Celtics fan for life.

No, the Pacers didn't pick up his option. He's an unrestricted FA..

I'd love it if it was true but why would Pacers sign and trade him for Scal that a 3.5 million dollar contract and there is no way marquiz is worth that.

Or is he?

I believe thats exactly whats going to happen. It looks like Marquis Daniels will sign with Pacers for about 5mill then be traded to the celtics for Scalabrine and Giddens. The pacers will Buy out Scalabrine's contract, and Scal will head back to the C's for either the VET's minimum or the BAE.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
If Scalabrine is the biggest piece in such a deal I'm all for it.  If we could throw in Tony this deal would be even sweeter.

this is not going to happen, if this happen they can just cancel the season and gave us the title now, Daniel is very good player and is young, this is a move for now and for the future

Wouldn't make sense to include both your expiring deals

Tony's contract could then be used at the deadline for another player or a draft pick

lol... nah I see tony staying. He's Our Future!!! :-[ HA! If tony is getting traded he's probably going to be packaged with Big Baby. They both will = 2.5 each 5.0mill going for a very good upgrade pg, sf, pf, or center

I'll give even the fat kid for Daniels, we need a wing player to gave Pierce and Allen rest, and Daniels is that guy, the fat kid is no longer the best option since we have Wallace

The fat kid would be a great way to round out the roster however..

With Rasheed in place, we no longer need Scal as a backup of any kind. I think Bird is open to this idea and I think we will have Marquis Daniels by next week. Scal is a character guy which Bird has stated before he looks for in his players.
