I am sure that DA has already been on the phone with the Hornets. I would give up almost any package excluding Paul, KG and obviously now 'Sheed. Obviously this is wishful thinking, but why not dream big. A few years back we all sat here saying there is no way KG would ever wear green. Chris Paul could lead the C's when the KG and Paul move off into the sunset. Hopefully, we will explore this deal. The tough economic situation may benefit the Green Team. If I were running the Hornets I would definitely be intrigued by adding a player the caliber of Rajon if I had to deal away my franchise player. Rajon in my opinion is not in CP3's league quite yet, but he is rounding into a Top 5 point guard. I would entertain taking back a bad contract to obtain a young superstar point guard. Thats obvious though. Its nice to dream, with Opening Night seeming so far away!

CP3 in Green!

This has been bandied about alot. While on the surface, NO trading away the face of the franchise seems fanciful, apparently, the rumors are the owner(can't remember his name, just that he's a scumbag) is losing money, and may be looking to move the franchise. He's been trying desperately to deal Chandler for cap relief, and will need to sign Paul to a huge deal soon. Would he take Ray Allen, Rondo, and next years first for CP3 and Julian wright? It would give him huge cap relief, a draft pick, and a very good PG to run the point. He could even trade Rondo at the deadline for more picks, cash, and expiring contracts. The possibility seems remote, but the C's would be one of the few teams who could do the deal if the owner did decide to move in that direction.

I would rather have Perk than Chandler. But if you can turn Rajon into CP3, you do it, without hesitation.

This is a bad trade for us, we're not getting enough in return for Rajon-Ray-Perk. The inclusion of Ray in the trade is a deal breaker for me at the moment considering the current make up of our team. Not only that, we become way weaker with our wings/SF.

But I would love to have CP3 in here and his BYC is making it difficult.

Will do this in a heartbeat!

Almost similar to the way we acquired KG. We get an excellent PG who can really outplay any PG in the league.

We may lose Perk but we get Chandler.

It does sound kinda crazy that Paul could be had, considering he's the face of that franchise, but Paul's gotta be upset with their lack of signing anyone to make that team better. Is he going to want to resign with a team that can't sign any big names?

Only a matter of time before he start complaining, and I can't blame him. So the thought of NO trading him maybe become a reality.

I don't think you can trade Ray at this point...after having him be so much a part of the recruiting process for Sheed.

It's just wouldn't feel right on a lot of levels.

maybe they could have done it back when all the Rondo rumors were swirling, but now, big moves like this don't make much sense to me.

we already have the best starting five in the NBA and possibly the best 6th man in Sheed. I don't think messing with that is the way to go...

Ainge no doubt is entertaining this idea. I like Ray, but not that much. I like Perk, but not that much. I like Rondo, but no that much.

Bos:
Send-Ray, Rondo, Perk
Rec-Paul, Chandler, Posey

What a trade! Paul is yanking our chain, he knows Hornets won't trade him.

there's no reason Perk should be in this deal.  He'd have some benefit to NO, but his value is very high in the Celtic's system.

Ray Rondo etc would be an awesome trade.

I agree, if you wanted Posey I think you could probably get it done with Scals. You'd have to turn your BBD s&t options at a 2

New Orleans wouldn't trade Paul now when he has 3 years left on his deal. In 2 years if they think that he might leave, I can see them looking to deal Paul. But right now, when their attendance would probably drop by a couple of thousand if he leaves, there's no way they trade Paul.

Ainge better be on the phone. I like Ray, but not that much. I like Perk, but not that much. I like Rondo, but no that much. A franchise player at the expense of Rondo, Ray, and Perk is a no brainier. They can buyout Ray & save even more, and we'll take him back. But first Ainge has to speak with Ray if anything involves him.

What a trade! Get on the phone...NOW!

I'm sure Ray would rush right back here to play for the vet min.

Clearly Rasheed must know that Ray's probably not staying here for his entire contract. I'm sure he'd understand if we traded Ray. It's not like we're trading Paul and KG for draft picks and expiring salaries.
