I still believe a solid back-up at the SG/SF position is priority one right now. But as we look at lowcost options at PG -- should the Cs send Pruitt packing -- here are a few names to consider.
Royal Ivey: I've mentioned him on this board for years -- i've always liked his defense and believe he's a better floor general than typically given credit for. On a team as good as the Cs I think he could flourish.
Anthony Carter: I've heard others mention him, but i think he's a poor fit. He's way too small to play on the 2nd unit with House (one reason i like Ivey and Pruitt -- the size to defend 2s). And he's going back to Denver.
Here are two other Free Agents playing well:
http://myespn.go.com/nba/truehoopQuincy Douby: It sounds like he's been working on his true PG skills, though he's not a good defender. But with limited options, he may be worth adding at the minimum.
Walker Russell Jr.: He's always intregued me. I've seen him play once or twice and he's a terrific passer, though he's small, raising the same concern as someone like Carter. IS he worth having into training camp to try to win a spot?
Anyone else?
