Hey guys as you know Twitter is the new thing. Well I follow Big Baby and based on his latest string of Tweets this morning, it appears like his days as a Celtic may be coming to an end. He goes as far as to say that he feels he is not important to the Celtics, but he was important when Leon and KG went down. I don't know how I feel about him taking shots at the organization. Its a fact of life. They wanted and needed to get Rasheed Wallace. All of their focus was going towards getting him under contract. Now they are looking to fill out the roster. Heck, DA drafted Baby in the 2nd round and gave him a shot. If you feel like you are not going to get enough money here, then just say thanks and move on. Here is the link:

Do we have any idea if this is confirmed as Baby's REAL twitter?  Some of that stuff sounds really fake.

Anyways, I don't think any of this stuff matters, until there is another team out there willing to give him an offersheet for more than about $3.5 million.

Whoever it is has no idea how to reply on twitter.

I can't tell based on his comments whether it is him or not, but the picture of his face distorted makes me think it is him, because it looks like something right from his webcam.

I cannot say I am 100% sure, but it seems pretty legit. I figured I would report what I see. I do agree that the distored picture is from a MAC and I would tend to think that it is him. Just thought it was interesting. If it is him, Edgar, I want an apology! ;)It may be a negotiating ploy on BBD part. He may be trying to get word out there that he likes Boston, but does not feel appreciated. I just thinks its a poor way to handle business. Keep things behind closed doors. I can understand why the C's would be wary about investing a large sum of money in BBD. On the other hand, he has developed very nicely. I hope things work out, but I would not break the bank. We will see if anyone makes a significant offer.

So a poor picture makes you think its more likely to be authentic?

If this is his real Twitter account, when are agents going to start regulating or at least advising their clients regarding online Networking/Communication accounts.

If I'm Big Baby's agent and I see him Twittering "Why doesn't Boston want me anymore?" I'm losing it! The fact that he's restricted, I guess, is an extenuating circumstance but if I'm negotiating a professional athlete's potential first big pay day, I'm telling him to lay low, get in the gym and let me either find him the best deal available or negotiate an extension with his present team if that's what he wants. Otherwise, LET ME DO THE TALKING

I'm sure NBA GM's aren't saying "well, I saw Glen's Twitter Page today and I know he really doesn't feel wanted right now." But, I'm sure the day is soon approaching or already here that agents should be advising players on what to put out in public forums.
"      “I can make a trade every day if I want to, but that's not going to help us. A trade that would get us better rarely comes along. They're very difficult to find. Good trades are very difficult in our league and don't happen very often.”

Assuming this is truly him posting these comments it brings me back to him on the sidelines getting chewed out by KG.

Whoever nicknamed the kid Big Baby sure got it right... Walk if you want to BBD. There are so many holes in your game that can never be filled due to limited height, reach, and vertical that it isn't worth the drama.

The market has backed up my view of you from all along. Decent back up. Never close to becoming a starter on a contender. Limited overall game. We're trying to win #18 here and don't need a head case on this team playing for less than he feels he is worth. Especially when his minutes are going to go down big time with Sheed in and KG healthy. Go to some scrub team and get your minutes and you'll soon wonder why you cried about things.

I will do my best to try to translate:

t_time24 @bigbabybball say dog what we said this weekend (Baby and Ty were obviously talking about his free agent status this weekend)? IT GETS BETTER (I know you want to go back to Boston and it looks like it may no happen)... note to world: control what YOU can control (If the Celtics don't want to pay you what you think your worth look at your other options and decide)... The rest ain't your beef (You can't make the Celtics pay you what you want so if you get more elsewhere take it if you think the situation is right)!
