I don't get why nobody talks about Joey Graham? If you take him off of a crappy Raptors team, he'd be a great back-up at the 3, and would upgrade the bench. There's also no way the Celts should let Giddens go. He should be the primary back-up at the 2.

Probably because he was only an OK backup on a terrible team.

As I've seaid before, Matt Barnes is a punk and a dirty player.  I want no part of him, either.

Honestly, a punk / dirty player is just who we need.

We need a thug, a bruiser, a multiple-position guy who can come off the bench and give us some muscle on both ends of the floor.

That's what Posey gave us, and we need somebody similar.

Another thing Scali can do better.  His specialty, the dislocating of bigger men's shoulders.

Hoopsworld (poor source I know) is speculating Orlando is targeting Barnes next, now I believe it because he would be the perfect addition for them a 3-point shooting 3-4

I think Ryan Anderson is a better player, and Pietrus + Redick have the backup wing minutes locked up. I don't see Barnes getting minutes for the Magic.

Matt Barnes would be a very good non-rotation bench player though.

For anyone that has seen Barnes play, Scal doesn't even compare.
Scal is a nice player, but Barnes is a legit NBA wing.  It is true that Barnes will not be going to an all star game in his career, but is a solid back up.

I like Scal but his main skill is knowing when to make good fouls and hitting wide open threes.

Also, if you don't think that Barnes is athletic watch the highlight video and pay attention to the last play.  Let me know if you think Scal can pull that one off.

[dang], this is really bad news for us because you can be sure that Barnes would prefer Orlando to Boston even if both teams offered him the same contract, because of the weather in Florida.

Not to mention that Florida has no state income tax.

Agreed.
