My only question... How does this rank next to the Mark Blount signing?

My God its looking more and more like the wolves got a steal in Big Al... All these scrub big guys (see Varajo, Baragnani) are signing these contracts that pretty much equal his.

heres the link...

Every time I see one of these contracts, I have one thought....

What the hell was Perkins' agent doing, letting him sign that what, four-year, $16M extension a couple years back?  Even at the time, that was a ridiculously cheap deal, and when you see Sideshow banking more than $8M per, it just makes you think...   Perk, that was REALLY dumb.

funny i thought the same thing,,,,but Perk had shown such little improvment at the times that the celts looked like they were being nice. Now its probably the best contract in the nba

I don't -- he'll be up for another extension shortly.

Good, Cleveland way overpaid Sideshow Bob.  Good deal.

Cleveland is going overboard to keep LeBron. Who pays $50 mil for flopping? Danny Ferry, can you say moron.

Am I stupid in thinking that big baby is better than varejao and has a lot more potential? Besides being a few inches taller and playing a little better defense i don't really see what the big deal is with varejao. Not that baby should be making anywhere near that amount of money but no way shoudl varejao.

This also hurts their plans if they want to sign someone in 2010. This is a great deal for the Celtics!!! ;D

The only ones in the league high on Sideshow Bob is the Cavs themselves. He's not a shot blocker or scorer, and his rebounding and defense are average.

Cavs saw us making a move by signing Sheed, so they countered with... bringing back the same guy they've had. Should be interesting to see how the work a rotation of Shaq, Big Z and Sideshow.

He's a good guy to have as a big energy guy off the bench.  He's not a starter as he does nothing well and if the nba is having financial issues Cleveland isn't cuz its too much $$$ for him.

I like how they have passed on deal after deal in order to maintain fiscal flexibility for 2010 and then they just flushed it for a player they will never run a play for ever
