I'm sure if you just admit your mistake and let Dons know it was just an oversight that there won't be a problem. What's he going to do, throw you out of the playoffs?

Here's what we said:

Foyle was an oversight; he's obviously cut, too, since he didn't make the roster.

We posted our final roster prior to the deadline, which is what was required; if that was a mistake, we freely admit to it.  I find it amusing that JR is trying to make hay out of that.

many teams posted their updated rosters prior to the deadline, but then edited them as they made deadline moves. I picked up Foyle. You ruled I could not. You picked him up and then never waived him, so I (or Nick or another team) could claim him. You say it was an oversight, which I'll buy. I'm not as quick to label people dishonest as some. You made a mistake. Everyone makes them from time to time.

Alright, I'm just getting back online.  I'm just starting to go over whats happened in the last few pages.

End the bickering now.  It seems to be the same parties over and over again.  This has to stop.

Okay.

But what's the ruling. Did Portland circumvent league rules inadvertently and if so are there any repercussions for it?

Give me some time to sort through everything and figure out what exactly is going on. If there is a ruling to be made, I will try and get it out ASAP.

To the 29 other GMs and Edgar:

I'm hereby resigning my slot as co-GM of the Portland CrotoNats.  This game is no longer fun for me, primarily due to the behavior of a couple of individuals, one of whom has started conflict with no fewer than four GMs in this game.

At this point, I feel as though I can no longer both be a GM in this game and enforce the rules of this forum, as required by my title as Forums Manager.  Certain members are using my position as a GM to engage in rule-breaking behavior, including not limited to trolling, baiting, posting private messages, and lying about my actions to other members.

As such, effective immediately, Edgar will be the only GM of Portland.  I will continue to vote and to ask questions of the various GMs who have participated in this game in good faith.  I will not, however, be speaking on Portland's behalf.

Best of luck, and to the 25+ GMs who have made this game a pleasure, I give you my sincere thanks.

-Roy

This seems a little drastic, no?  none of the other GMs have been removed from office despite repeated warnings.

As a mod i think you should be held to a higher standard on these boards, but i'm not sure whatever has happened warrants this.  I hate to see a fellow GM forced out.

In case there was any confusion, I wasn't asked to step down, nor was I threatened with having my team taken away.  I'm doing this because it's in the best interests of me personally, of the other GMs, and of the forums.

Well i personally don't agree with it, but if it's your decision then so be it...though  I wouldn't expect any of the other parties involved to offer anything more then empty appologies.

Can we assume you'll be back for next year?

It certainly is a shame that it had to come to this.  I for one am very sad to see one of the more knowledgeable and active GM's step down from this game.  I certainly wish that this could have come to a better ending but I a very confident that Edgar can hold down the fort over in Portland. Hopefully all parties involved have learned something from this, I certainly know that I have.

Given the drama that this exercise has engendered over the past two years, I wonder whether we should bother next year.
