congrats to the CrotoNats* ...

remember when the Lakers won the title last year, but Kevin Garnett didn't participate in the playoffs... thus the Celtics never actually defended their title and the Lakers just sorta technically won by default?

Yeah me too.  :)

Congrats to Portland! Here's a video that sums up that Management staff's dynamic quite nicely:

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Arenas is starting out pretty darn hot. Man, anyone who passed on him or said anything negative about him was so wrong. I can't imagine why anyone would trade him.

23 points 7 assists. He would be an asset to any team.

Eh... I'm not sure about that. And even if he is back to 100%, it won't translate into anything higher than a 7th seed in the East.

Yes... it's okay to quote yourself.

Looking back though, even with a superstar quality Gilbert, Indiana still had a terrible team and had two players playing overseas in Rubio and Wafer.

What do you think...Pierce, Garnett, Rondo, and 2 FRP's kinda Low-balling the Wiz?

We'd have to throw in the obligatory TA+Scal package as well.

IP's working on it, but his Xbox red ringed. So the project is in limbo until that's fixed.

I remembered the Gilbert love here after the season started and after reading an article about the Wizards turmoil I had to post this:

Quote
If you want to point fingers, point to the Wizards allowing 106.9 points per 100 possessions, among the worst in the NBA.

Either Arenas doesn't know this or doesn't care. Losing, as well as winning, have to be all about Agent Zero. An Eastern Conference scout who sees plenty of the Wizards said the next four weeks will be critical.

"It's just hard to win with Arenas," the scout said. "He dominates the ball so much, and his personality dominates the team."

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/12565502/zeroing-in-wizards-woes-hiding-in-plain-sight

Maybe it was a good idea to get rid of Arenas after all, which pretty much was the consensus.

When are we doing this mid season trade/analysis thing?
