Toronto sends: Aaron Brooks

Las Vegas sends: Earl Watson, Anderson Varejao

Interesting.  Brooks is probably the best player, but Watson is a better fit, and getting Andy is *huge*.

Wasn't Varejao drafted quite a bit higher than Brooks?  That was probably one of the moves that didn't work out in hindsight.

also, i challenge that trades can be strictly judged by where guys were taking, espically past round 2.

if you look through rounds 3-6, you'll see alot of clearly better players taken after players who fit the team pickings strat at the time.

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Starting right after the draft.  At some point today, I'm going to post next week's schedule.

Tentatively, it looks like free agent signing, roster cuts, and trades must be done by 11:59pm Tuesday and then we'll roll into press conferences.

Traditionally, after the draft, you just claim players on a first come first serve basis once free agency starts.  It's pretty slim pickings.

First come, first serve.  However, rosters must be cut down to 15 players by the deadline.  So, no hoarding players.

That's a pretty quick turnaround.  I'll be on vacation through pretty much all of it.  If anyone wants to make a trade with the Cavs, better send offers today, since my internet access will be limited from here on.  I'll consider all options, but please start with reasonable offers.  I'm currently happy with my team, but a big shot blocker would be a nice addition.

That gives people a little over 4 days to work things out.  I think its enough.  Plus, its best not to drag this whole thing out too much.

Yeah, more of a personal problem than a league wide problem.

i wouldn't mind going till Wednesday at midnight...two days seems like little time to shop guys for teams who are looking to win in the future.

alot of people aren't around Saturday and Sunday, (like me) so those days don't help us on trades, rosters, ect at all.

The problem with Wednesday is that it drags things out.  Think of it this way:

Next week's schedule:

Mon + Tue:  "Free agent signing", little to no activity
Wed - Fri:  Conference #1 "press conferences"

Week 2:

Mon - Wed: Conference #2 "press conferences"
Thu + Fri: Voting for seeding by conference

If we delay that even one day, I think it would really mess things up, and we could lose momentum (as we have in the past).  From the first two years of this, I can't remember a whole lot that has happened in the "free agent" period, so I agree with Dons that it doesn't make sense to prolong it.
