The Detroit Pistons select Samuel Dalembert, a perfect fit for their team. Amare has been known for not being too strong of a defender, so why not give him a defensive minded true center?

Dalembert's stats were down last year due to limited minutes, but in 07-08 he averaged 10.5 ppg, 10.4 rpg, and 2.3 bpg.

With Dalembert, the Pistons have completed their starting lineup.

I guess I'm the only GM that hates this pick. This is a guy who backslid last year; was cut from the Canadian national team for not applying himself; saw his minutes cut by the 76ers for the same reason; had a 2 point, 2 rebound, 6 foul game; etc.

Ask a Philadelphia 76ers fan what they think of Dalembert.

Quick question, are you sure Amare and Dalembert is a good combo?  Both are known as guys that do not listen to coaches. 

I'm not too worried. Once they realize they have a great team around them, they'll listen and try to win. I think they work perfectly together on the court though.

Antonio McDyess fills a need of bringing toughness, defensive and rebounding. He was the best "natural" PF remaining and challenges Garnett every time he faces him. He had a great season last year and will be a starter in SA this season. I love that he was available.
