With Gordon and Duncan, I felt like a speed guy was the way to go. Someone who could get to the hole and dish, and who could hound PGs defensively.

I like the pick! and who knows apparently he may be with the celts soon haha

The Seattle Supersonics select T.J. Ford, point guard, University of Texas

i like it, i think he's severely under rated

I like Ford a lot, too.  He does have some warts, though.  (Injuries, shooting, and chemistry).  Still, I think it's a solid pick here.

He's the kind of PG that can do the things that I'm going to try and do with my team. If he ends up in Boston, I'm going to be p---ed haha

The Nuggets select Mike Conley, Jr., reuniting him with Greg Oden.

too early

I don't know.  Look at his second half numbers:

Post All-star break, he averaged 14.5 points, 5.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 46.4% shooting, and 43.5 % 3PT shooting.

It's hard to find a young PG with that type of efficiency.

actually roy, now that i look at the numbers i'm impressed.  i'm not huge on him but he did have a solid year last year, esp. when you compare the asst/to ratio - very solid for a young pg

IIRC he had none of those warts last year when you picked him 3(9) Roy  ;D ;D ;D

The flamingo's pine over two missed players we wanted caused by a "quick meeting" that went on 25 minutes longer than advertised, but are still content to rescue  young talent

They're warts.  They're not insurmountable, though.  He's a good pick in the third, but he's not a star.

I don't like the Gordon / Ford backcourt very much, honestly.  I think it's going to get exploited by bigger teams.
