He has been given the understanding that I pick the players and he is going to prepare them.  He will get the chance to teach the highly skilled young player to 'play the right way'

i like it, i think he's severely under rated

I like Ford a lot, too.  He does have some warts, though.  (Injuries, shooting, and chemistry).  Still, I think it's a solid pick here.

IIRC he had none of those warts last year when you picked him 3(9) Roy 

They're warts.  They're not insurmountable, though.  He's a good pick in the third, but he's not a star.

I don't like the Gordon / Ford backcourt very much, honestly.  I think it's going to get exploited by bigger teams.

I don't like the Ford pick myself. I have 16 point guards ahead of him.

He's injury prone, with limited range and questionable decision making. I also don't think his defense is all that great.

We could name 16 point guards in the NBA better than him. I doubt there are 16 left, but like you, I'd avoid him like the plague.

But one of it's best teachers.  And that is what I was looking for.

There is only two guys I'm really sold on, and I'm pretty sure one of them will be available.

If they're not available, I'd much rather take the time to re-evaluate the board so I could see how many positional players I have left in certain tiers rather than just providing a flat out list.
