It looks like Hill will always be a loser.

Behind Suns (money)
and Knicks

Tanguay and Marshall both see Baby still going to the magic despite Otis Smith denials

I don't see any intelligent motivation for either team to offer a 37 year old wing player more money than he was making last year, or even to offer him a roster spot.

Yeah, I just wrote a novel on the Suns cap situation for a Barbosa trade and I can't understand why they'd sign Hill for anything greater than the minimum.  They have no chance at contending next year, they are already in the tax.  Why they would throw money at a  37 year old is beyond me.

The Knicks I can understand.  D'Antoni/Walsh are in a situation similar to Ainge a few years ago when he went after Karl Malone: trying to raise the profile of the franchise any which way.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Donny must have one of his boys from UCONN that knows Grant Hill.  You know how tight Donny is with those guys.  He tells us every time he has a mic attached to him.   ;D

Wait, Donny went to UConn? Did he know Ray Allen?

Who cares?  If Grant Hill wants to collect a few extra bucks to play for a 35 win team, then let him.  I'd much rather give the LLE to the younger and less injury prone Anthony Parker.  The problem with Parker is that Real Madrid may be offering him more than the biannual exception.

That's the kind of thing I'd tell you not to ask if we went to a party together and ran into Donny.  It'd be like:

"Hey, KC, don't ask about UCONN or Ray Allen.  This guy will not shut up and we'll be trapped all night."

And you'd say:

"Watch this..."

2 hrs later I'd say:

"Jerk."

I think that's it for the C's news today on CSN

She's from canada, what a sissy.

So why the hell was Tanguay guaranteeing Hill will be a Celtic? I'll never believe a word he says ever again.
Without Hill and Baby, I doubt we can compete for a championship. Hopefully there are some other good options out there but I'm not particularly optimistic.

Let me get this straight:  Without 37 yr old injury prone Grant Hill and 6'6" PF Glen Davis (a ten minute per game guy at most next year), we can't compete for a championship?

I'd love to have them to fill out the roster, but I would not feel too pessimistic about our chances when we have the best first 6 in the NBA.  DA will fill out the roster fine if he doesn't get Hill or Davis.

grant hill or glen davis will not make or break this team. there are plenty of other guys out there that can fill a grant hill role. davis will not be on this team next year, not a big loss considering we just signed rasheed wallace, who is a taller, better shooting version of glen davis.

Where's Matt Barnes? Why are we not reaching out to him too?

  • Rondo = Good

Without Hill and Baby, I doubt we can compete for a championship.

Sign Rasho Nesterovic for the Vet. Minimum to play 10-15 mpg.  Sign some half-decent backup PG for the Minimum or LLE to play for 10 mpg.  Sign Keith Bogans or Ime Udoka for the Minimum to play 10-15 mpg or else just play Walker or Giddens 10 mpg until the trade deadline when we move Scal and Tony for a wing reserve (i.e. Nocioni).

That's a scenario without Baby or Hill and we're just fine.
