If your KG and you and your team court one of your friends to come and play with your team, and the team is a contenter and not a celler dweller. Then said friend goes to another team not because of money but because he might get to play 5 to 10 more mins a game. Would'nt you question your friends loyality. I know I would. The celtics did something no other team has ever done some might have come close but nothing of this magnatude. If Sheed goes to the Spurs/Magic after this then I guess KG's would have to rethink his friendship.

If we don't sign Sheed then we need to sign a big name wing guy.  Somebody who can get minutes at the 2 and 3 and provide some scoring and solid defense off the bench.

Otherwise, I fear we'll be left in the dust.  Whoever signs Sheed over us (SA or Orlando probably) will have the upper hand.

IMO - if Sheed doesn't sign here in the next couple of days i think he goes elsewhere. we've done our due dilligence and he needs to make a move. it's selfish for him to make us wait while other free agents will sign. if we wait on him and he goes elsewhere, we will be stuck with robert friggen swift.

am i wrong?

Yes you are wrong. It sounds like Rasheed was upfront with C's about how he was going to make the decision and that he and his wife would take some time with it.

Regardless of that - if Sheed takes his time and signs with someone else, we are screwed. I'm not reinventing the wheel over here, I'm just saying.

If there are, say 10 guys we want with the MLE (may be more or less, likely less) - and 5 sign in the next week, and Rasheed decides to sign with the Bobcats or whomever in 2 weeks, our pool of talent to sign will have significantly diminished.

Spurs job is the most enticing proposition. Starting @ Center, next to the greatest Power-Forward ever. Plus you get to be coached by Gregg Popovich, and play with Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili/Richard Jefferson. Who could turn that down?

On paper Spurs roster is better than our roster. Even Memphis has a better bench than ours.

Yeah, pretty sad, huh?  Our bench is truly repugnant.

We're better than the Spurs. Memphis has a better bench but much worse starters. What's the point? We had a much better bench before we traded for Ray and KG. I'd rather have better starters, personally.

Most of the wins for an NBA team are dictated by the best three players on the team.

I have a hard time believing the spurs are going to do much of anything this year even with their signings. I believe they have too many miles on them to stay healthy enough to make a push in the playoffs. TD looks too tired and slow imo. I guess we will see.
Back to wanting Joe fired.
