The fact that we applied the full court press intending to get his signature on a contract and nothing happened tells me he has his heart set on something else... probably starting in San Antonio...

He will sign with San Antonio... sucks.

Spurs job is the most enticing proposition. Starting @ Center, next to the greatest Power-Forward ever. Plus you get to be coached by Gregg Popovich, and play with Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili/Richard Jefferson. Who could turn that down?

wow! i didnt know bob pettit was making a come back with the spurs!

at his age, i am impressed.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I dont understand the attitude here. WE talked to him and he is going to see what else is out there. Boston may be the greatest org to play for, but we cant expect every FA to faint when we show up at their door step. He would be dumb to not wait and see what else he is offered. It's up to DA and Wyc to match or beat any other offer he may get to the best of their ability. If SA offers 3 we offer 3 and so on.

One oher thing, who the hell cares that Ron Time Bomb Artest went to LA? I dont see the personalities meshing oujt their, and i dont see Odom happy going back to a reserve role.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Well... nothing's certain.  But if we don't get Sheed, the Celtics will be scrambling to find another serviceable big.  That could hurt, depending on how long it takes him to make up his mind.

Sheed isn't going to Cleveland, they aren't pursuing him like us.  Too many old and slow big guys there with Shag & Z. Sheed will come to Boston and win his title(s).  LETS GO SHEED!!

  • Rondo = Good
Sounds like we'll know Sheed's decision by early next week.  In the article it says he'll probably decide as soon as the "interviews" with team representatives are over.
