Chris Broussard(sp?) says he think that Sheed is going to the C's. Said San Antonio aren't as interested in Rasheed and haven't been aggressive going after him because they are trying to sign Gortat instead.

There has been reports that Gortat has come to a verbal agreement with Dallas though, so not sure if that changes San Antonio's aggressiveness in going after Rasheed now ?

With any luck, the Spurs attempt to outbid the Mavs for Gortat's services....
Celtics fan for life.

am I the only one who thinks Antonio McDyess is a better fit for Boston? furthermore, he might not eat up the whole MLE.

Others have said that too. Maybe Boston isn't his preferred landing spot. He should of stayed in Denver last yr imo. I think the Nuggets could have knocked off the Lakers with him and Red would still have his record.

I'm still fighting the good fight with you Potapenko.  I'd rather see McDyess, and I've been saying so all along.  But to be honest with you, if it's true that KG and Doc and crew are making a personal visit with Rasheed to recruit him (and not McDyess), then I think I'm ready to divert to their opinion on the matter.

Everybody do do do do do do need a Sheed! (sorry, watched the Lorax with my daughters the other night)

2 things -

McDyess is staying in Detroit no matter what (all sources say) so even if he's a better fit - it's moot.

Love the Lorax.
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

I think Antonio McDyess is the better player, and by a large margin too.

If you are correct, it's a shame, because we could save a lot of money going for him considering how much lower the interest is in him.

I dunno.  I thought I saw Sheed play better post defense, and he isn't afraid to take important shots.  I like McDyess, but he has less range than Wallace, too.  Why do you think he's better?
"You're skating on pretty thin ice around here, McGee!"
"Sounds like the ice's problem."

2 for the Show!
GO CELTS!

Sheed would be crazy not to go to San Antonio... He would start for an insane championship pedigree lineup...

Parker
Ginobli
R Jefferson
Duncan
Sheed

That being said, I hope he ends up here!

Sheed is looking for 3 years according to reports.  Danny offered 2.  I have a feeling it is going to be Posey all over again. All the Spurs or Cavs have to do is give him that extra year and the Celtics will miss out on getting him.
