They have officially agreed to terms with CV as well.

Which is good, because it means the Cavs aren't getting him.

That's good news, that means they don't go to a team that has a chance at a title.

what does this leave their team looking like? Is Ben Gordon going to be coming off the bench or does Rip Hamilton get the sixth man duties?

I bet Rip will be the 6th.

Pistons won't be much of a worry for us in the East as long as we manage to stay healthy. Add the addition on potentially both former All Stars in Sheed and Hill.. watch for us

Well, that was quick! I hope we can agree on a deal with Rasheed as soon as tomorrow.

Still I don't see the interest of bringing Gordon in Detroit when you already have Rip Hamilton who complained about his 6th man role last season...

I like Ben Gordon as a player, but this puts them back in the exact same position they were in with Iverson - a starter who is undersized for SG and without the right skill set for PG.

they spent the whole season battling who to start Iverson or Rip. What's the answer with Gordon.

on a side note, CHI must be bummed. That's a huge loss for them. He was perfect playing SG next to a big PG like Rose.

Am I the only one wondering who starts?  He and Rip play the same position and neither one of them are PG or SF so Tayshaun nor Stuckey are gonna be 6th men...I think....?

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
They over payed Ben Gordon by about 10 million, but Villaneuva with the MLE is pretty reasonable. I wonder how much money they have left for the summer of 2010? Would it be enough for them to pick up a max player?

I don't understand the Gordon signing at all. Dumars signed Rip Hamilton to a three-year extension after this coming year, worth about $38 million.

Huge mistake by Dumars. Somehow he has to turn Hamilton into a big man. Maybe he can work something out with Utah for Boozer.
