PTI goes after the Cs on Powe

#3 topic on PTI today was the Celtics unceremonious dumping of Leon.

Bob Ryan was on with Michael Wilbon and thankfully they both agreed that this move was in poor taste and also just not a good basketball decision.

Sounds like Ryan will take up this cause of getting Danny to do the right thing here and ultimately re-sign Leon.

If there was ever a case of using public pressure to force the hand of a sports organization, this is it.

Leon put his future on the line for the Cs and now it's time to extend him a contract. It's not like it's even going to be that much money and it's also not like there won't be a potential return on the  investment.

looking forward to the Bob Ryan article on this topic. and hopefully more of the BBall people in the city will also take up the cause.

Roster spot...Powe cant play til Feb, then he's no good to us for the start. If he shows he can play in Feb then sure I give him a go. What happens if we sign him now and he is out for the year? Wait til the time comes.

Good.  Powe needs to retire a Celtic.

If give a roster spot to that wash-out Rob Swift and leave Powe to sign elsewhere, I'll have trouble rooting for the team next year.

Every athlete puts their health at risk every time they play or drive to work for that matter (ask BBD).  This is completely unfair.  We are not a charity.

Well he might be referring to the first round, when the C's desperately needed help down low. Either KG or Powe was needed. Powe suited up and reinjured himself.

ha. danny does'nt listen to the media.the last people he should listen to is the BOSTON media.i love that ryan is interested agian now that we're good. ::)  
  i love leon. the guy is a great role player. great. he sounds like just an awesome person. again, ainge ain't signing a guy because he's an awesome person. he'll make what he thinks is the best bball decision.he's not ALWAYS right but he usually is.
