What's up with Iverson

As for the Celtics and how much you offer him, I think there is a lot more to lose than there is to gain.  Even for the minimum, the last thing the Celtics need is for someone to come in behind Rondo and complain about playing time or make a stink.  Rondo already has enough baggage that the team deals with, this is asking for a fist fight in the locker room.  I would honestly have to sit down and think about it if he even offered to play for free.  All he brings at this point is good scoring (we have that already) and decent defense (Marbury played decent D last season).  I just don't see enough of an upside in a best case scenario from a pure ball-in-hand guy.  Just makes no sense, not even at the minimum.

Me too.  The scenario in which I'd take him has about a 1 in 1000 chance of even occurring.  I'd only take him if a) lots of free agents spurned us and we had no other way to possibly make an upgrade or b) we had one open roster spot left in September and AI said he'd take the minimum. 

I don't see either occurring.

I can agree with that to an extent.  You would just have to run it by Conley to see if he would be ok with it.  You don't want to upset a playe that is expected to be your future PG for years to come just to put a couple bodies in the seats for a year or two.

That being said, with the Money-Hungry Grizz, they just might.

AI would put butts in the seats in Memphis, but he would seriously hamper the development of Conley and Mayo, so I don't see much real benefit to Memphis.  Of course the butts in the seats might make it worth it, and if AI is successful and talks highly of Memphis, then it also might encourage more players to go there.

He played shooting guard in 2001 and brought the nobody 76ers to the finals. Look at his numbers, not much has fallen off besides last year but I already explained last year. He could play point when Rondo's out and play with Ray and/ or House. When Rondo's in he can play the 2 and add a lot of scoring. I bet he could give us 15 ppg off the bench and still get around 30 something minutes.

Look at the team around him.  Unselfish guys that player top level defense and did everything they could to allow AI to be successful on offense.  In an East that was really weak (Raptors and Bucks were the big challenges to them in the playoffs before losing in 5 to LA)

Look at everytime he had another offensive player next to him.  Their numbers drop.  The team doesn't do well.  

And if he only plays when Rondo is out, that's what, 12-18 minutes a game?
