Edgar are you offering your 8th for my 12-15th?

No, he's offering an 8th for a 10th,11th,12th and 13th and I'm taking him up on it.

There's a good reason wd and edgar are both willing to part with a lot of their 10-15 round picks for an 8th rd, but not willing to part with their 8th rounder for a 10-15...its because its a good deal for the guy getting the 8th round pick.

Before anyone else decides to trade picks before the draft starts...I would advise them to look at last years draft thread in order to put a name and a face on an asset, rather than just a round number.

I never asked for an 8th rounder.  (not that I would turn one down)  I have been looking for the late 9th/early 10th for my 5 picks.

I was actually just looking at the draft thread and I saw that Gortat went in the 15th round...and Sebastian Telfair went in round 5. There are buried treasure there late in the draft. Few and far, but they're there.

Buffalo- The Buffalo Braves announced today that their new head coach would be Hall of Famer Dr. Jack Ramsey. GM Rebus Rankin had this to say, "We want to go back to our roots, honour our history in Buffalo and we felt that bringing back the greatest coach in franchise history was the way to go. Jack is a proven winner."

Is this thread still in the archives somewhere? Haven't been able to track it down?

Smart trade for Toronto, not a bad one for San An either if the 6th rounder turns into a quality sixth man/borderline starter.

Whereas, I don't like the move very much for San Antonio; I'm not sure he moved up quite far enough in the draft to justify giving up a 3rd round pick, even a late 3rd.

Yeah I think Toronto got the best value. It wasn't blatantly one sided though.

I think he did, the value in moving up in the first is way way higher than doing it in later rouds obviously, especially getting into the top 17-18 picks.

Ya guys, alot of people have this thing 17 players deep in the 1st round before a significant dropoff.  He got into that range and got a good 6th round pick.  A first and third is alot, but if he picks well he could definitly get the better end of the deal
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16
