Since most folks might not have seen it, the ORLANDO MAGICS have the sandwich picks in the even/odd rounds...

we've got a draft strategy mapped out to go with our # 1 pick of D. Howard/LeBron/Wade or ____ (not Kobe), but would be willing to toss it out the window if you're offer is right.

Also we've put our coaching staff in our signature... I LOVE toronto's ML Carr move of hiring Rondo2287 as their head coach. LOVE IT!

To respond to this, Toronto has not hired Rondo2287 as their coach(Although we are sure he would be a good fit)  but he is to busy making trades to coach.  Instead we have hired current Cal head coach Mike Montgomery as our teams head coach.

Sorry about the confusion

AP (SEATTLE)- As the run on coaches continues prior to the 2009 CelticsBlog draft, the Seattle Supersonics finally seem close to a decision, according to reports out of KeyArena.

Sonics general manager Hoyo de Monterrey was spotted in his luxury box at Safeco Field with former Celtics coach and current broadcaster Tommy Heinsohn, taking in a recent Mariners game. Sources say Heinsohn will be announced as the Sonics head coach on Monday.

Heinsohn won a pair of NBA championships as a head coach during his Celtics coaching career, and sports a lifetime record of 427-263. Heinsohn was the 1973 Coach of the Year with Boston.

Reactions are mixed to Heinsohn's hiring. Many Sonics fans like the hiring, pointing to the obvious franchise success. Heinsohn does hold the distinction of being the only man who had some hand in all 17 Celtics titles. However, some fans think the game has passed Heinsohn by. Responding to critics that say the 74-year-old Heinsohn is too old for today's game, Heinsohn simply responded, "Ask Kenny Mauer or Violet Palmer if I lack energy."

Heinsohn then challenged Sonics Community Relations Director Shawn Kemp to a game of one-on-one, and after forcing a bad shot from the Reignman, grabbed the rebound, threw an outlet to himself, hit the fastbreak layup, and gave himself a Tommy Point.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
General Manager of the Fake Phoenix Suns and self proclaimed "Toughest GM in Sports" Jesse 'The Body' Ventura announced the coaching staff for his squad today. The Fake Phoenix Suns hire the ghost of Burgess Meredith on as head coach. He's not much for X's and 0's but he's a heck of a motivator. Assistant coaches will be Michael Cooper, Dennis "Crazy Pants" Rodman, and "Mean" Joe Greene.

Defense and intensity will be a priority.
