beat me to it.

The trade is Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Fabricio Oberto and Kurt Thomas ... more coming in just a second. Deal is agreed to in principle with a trade call coming later today

No it's not involving the C's. Chad Ford just said on his chat:
"The trade is Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Fabricio Oberto and Kurt Thomas ... more coming in just a second. Deal is agreed to in principle with a trade call coming later today"
Let the salary shedding begin. If any of the players the Bucks are getting get bought out I'd be interested in them
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Excellent move for the Spurs. Might be interesting to see who Milwaukee waives out of that bunch.

Jefferson for expiring money, essentially. Cleveland or Portland could have had Jefferson (for Wally or for LaFrentz) last year at the deadline.

Will be interested to see the official details. Maybe a draft pick involved as well?

EDIT: Bowen and Oberto are non-guaranteed contracts, which is a huge consideration for Milwaukee. Both will likely be cut (saving $7.8 mil), thus freeing up some payroll to spend on resigning Sessions and/or Villanueva.

If Bowen is axed by the Bucks, that would be a very nice pickup.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Looks like MIL is entering rebuild mode.  No doubt they hold onto their pick and try to get more.  I anticipate a buyout of Oberto; Thomas and Bowen could be used for trades again later in the season...

Jefferson is exactly the kind of player the Spurs need. Great pickup for them.

Yeah, a truly great move for the Spurs.  Man, how perfect would Jefferson have been for us?

I've always hated Bruce but I guess that's because he's never dawned the Green & White uniform.

Perhaps I'd fall in love if he joined C's...?

The Bucks are definitely waiving Bruce Bowen and Fabricio Oberto. Only 50% of their contracts are guaranteed, so they can make good savings by cutting them. Kurt Thomas is a maybe.

Very good trade for both teams. Not sure it was the best use of San Antonio's asset, but a very good trade nonetheless.
