If Bowen is axed by the Bucks, that would be a very nice pickup.
I think Bowen is pretty much done. Maybe some Lindsey Hunter style spot minutes but that is it.

Wow. San Antonio could be very scary next season.

Tony Parker
Roger Mason Jr.
Richard Jefferson
Rasheed Wallace (there were rumors that the spurs were interested in signing him)
Tim Duncan

Bench: Hill, Ginobli, Udoka, and Bonner.

Yikes.

I've always hated Bruce but I guess that's because he's never dawned the Green & White uniform.

Perhaps I'd fall in love if he joined C's...?
He did dawn the green and white before he developed his jump shot and became a next level defender.

more from espn:

Why in the world would the Bucks do that?

Chad Ford
Bowen, Oberto and Thomas are all in the last year of their contracts. It saves them roughly $3 million this year and $15 million next year. And it gives them some flexibility to sign at least one of their restricted free agents -- either Charlie Villanueva or Ramon Sessions.

spurs are trying to get younger. the bucks are giving up.. lol

Chad Ford
Guys you're going to have to give me a few minutes ... ESPN needs a few more details.Yes, it's a great deal for the Spurs, but don't kill the Bucks either. This gives them lots of flexibility going forward.
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

Hmm... have the Spurs become legit contenders again? Will Jefferson put them over the top against the Lakers?

Excellent move for the Spurs. Might be interesting to see who Milwaukee waives out of that bunch.

I believe Bowen and Oberto only have partially guaranteed deals, so I would expect them to get the axe.

it could - if healthy that's a stacked lineup

they'll need some big men though, so we'll have competition this offseason for big guys looking for a ring

If the Bucks cut any of the three players, I wouldn't be shocked to see them end up back in San Antonio.

It's official, when cut, I want Bowen.

Unfortunately, I think, like Roy, that he runs back to SA.

Richard Jefferson to Spurs!!!

If the Spurs are able to sign Rasheed Wallace, which has been reported that they interested in doing.  I think they would have to be the favorites to win it all.

Very scary lineup for the Spurs. At least we know the Lakers will not coast through the west next year.

As somebody else said, if they get a good big or two on the FA market I think the answer is yes.  That team with Sheed, Gortat, Zaza or somebody like that could be very good assuming everyone stays healthy.
