I'm curious if there were other guys folks were thinking about. My list:

Bernard King -- one of my fav. non-celtics and a total warrior

Dennis Johnson -- he was the guy who guarded MJ and Magic in those 80s battles

Mark Jackson --- all-time assists leader and another of my fav. non-celtics.

Joe Dumars, Dikembe Mutumbo, Ray Allen, Alex English --- I considered late just as solid role/bench guys who play D, are efficient team guys and fit in.

Buck Williams, Jerry Lucas -- M-U-S-C-L-E

David Thompson -- never saw him but he was a scoring machine i think, right?

Steve Nash -- would take him over Mark Jax obviously. one of the truly great PGs

I had Bernie King and Joe D as well as Sam Jones on my list.

Can we do this again in the summer? I want to do this. In fact, pm if you're interested.

I was thinking as we were doing it, we just add 1 team each week.

so next week would be 6 teams, 60 players...etc.

ntroducing the Gainesville Celtics:

PG: Bob Cousy, Jason Kidd
SG: Scottie Pippen, Earl Monroe
F: Lebron James, (Bird),(Pippen)
F: Larry Bird, Dave Cowens, Charles Barkley
C: Tim Duncan, Bill Walton, (Cowens)

PG: Cousy
SG: Pippen
SF: Lebron
PF: Bird
C: Duncan

PG: Kidd
SG: Monroe
PF: Barkley
PF: Cowens
C: Walton

Gainsville, you didn't really stick to the formatt:

Quote
Starting five:

C
PF
SF
SG
PG

Bench:

C
PF
SF
SG
PG

That was supposed to be part of the challenge of the game. Unless you plan on playing Barkley at the 3  ??? you might want to seek a trade over the weekend.  Other than that great picks.

Well, he could start Barkley and put Bird at SF off the bench, right?  ;)

I'd argue that Lebron could play SG, but I won't since it's all just a game. I could also just waive Barkley and sign Bernard King.

But like Norman Dale said ---- my team is on the court.

TP again JSAAD for kicking the game off ---- there are some cool variations I'd love to try.... maybe i'll start one next FRI :)

To me there is MJ and everyone else and I think who ever had him on their team would win. Taking him away makes things more interesting IMO.
