Is it just me or does Girardi routinely get outcoached by Francona?

This is almost starting to just become a joke.  Obviously 8-0 is a statistical oddity, but I don't see an ALCS series between these two teams going more than 5 games.  Bullpen's become even more exposed in October, our largest advantage will just become even more magnified.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

i agree completely...but you what was funny is that our two most consistent relievers both choked in this serious and we overcame.....this team wont quit and i agree our strong bullpen will pay off in the long run

Great point Truck and the funny part is even with giving up 3 runs tonight, I think our top 6 pitchers in the bullpen(Paps, Oki, Manny D, Saito, RamRam and Bard) all have ERAs less than 2.53. Those six guys have pitched a combined 140 innings, given up only 32 earned runs, have a combined ERA of 2.08, have struck out 124 while walking just 53, have 18 saves and 21 holds between them and have an average age of....get this....29 years old.

Now consider the starters are starting to deal, Papi seems to be turning it around, Bay is putting up Manny like production numbers, and we still have Buchholz and Bowden that are ready to step in and John Smoltz possibly joining the staff in July.

I really like the Red Sox to win it all again. Pitching! Pitching! Pitching!

Pitching and defense wins rings and this team has plenty of both.  I hope everyone stays healthy and Dice-K turns things around so this team really can win it at all again.
do it

Pitching, defense, and patient hitters who drive up the opposition's pitch counts win rings.  ;)
