So I am flipping through the channels last night and I land on Spike TV.  Who do I see playing "Around the World" on the Pros vs. Joes basketball court but Employee #8 himself.

If you go on that show doesn't that mean you are officially DONE?!

Nope.  It just means that Toine got the opportunity(and CASH!) to be on TV and he took it.   Wouldn't you?

Not if i had any hopes of making it back in the league, no.

Unless he's completly mis-manged the ten's of millions he made in the NBA (possable) and is broke I really don't think Pro's vs Joe's is something you want to be involved with while looking for a contract with an NBA team.

I defintly wouldn't have shown up for the taping as out of shape as he was and gotten schooled by several "joe's" and toss up airballs in a game of around the world.

He looked like a joke, not exactly a move i'd make if i wanted NBA GM's to take me serously.

Did you watch the whole episode?

Toine was the only pro to win a competition event against the Joe's.

That was largely the reason why the Joe's had some 6 points or whatever spotted to them before the 25 Grand 3 on 3 game.

Toine was also the only one to actually play basketball while Zo made himself look like a goat, huffing and puffing, mad at the refs, letting the Joe's continously punk him to the point Zo got p---ed and put one of the Joe's in a head lock or sleeper hold.

Robort Horry did nothing on that show, made 1 free throw.

Toine was the only one smiling and happpy playing basketball. He'd be 100x that way playing on the Celtics again.

Yes i watched it, is the fact that he actually beat a semi pro scrub athlete supposed to make me go crazy over him?

The difference between toine and horry and zo is those guys are 40 years old and out of the league. Why should it be a plus for toine that he can keep up with retired guys who are screwing around on a joke show?

He's done. He'll probably get a deal at the end of some teams bench again for the minimum, and get cut by midseason.

Although he literally is the poor man's Lamara Odom... i don't think he's even trying to get back in the league. At this point i'm considering him retired.

Can't say that I watched the whole show.  Saw him air ball a baseline jump and then switched over to Clint Eastwood in Escape from Alcatraz.

From what I have seen from Pros vs Joes it is all retired players who toy with average guys and beat them in the end.  Based on what I have seen, being on the show means being retired.

"Well we made a couple of key trades . . . and we got The Funk."

Please tell me that Danny isn't judging talent on Pros vs. Joes.   ;)

LB, forget about these haters.  They don't know what they're talking about.  If an "NBA SOURCE" is considered someone's agent(who said this...allegedly) then someone needs to let David Stern know that somebody is spreading untrue rumors in the name of HIS Product.  Otherwise, I tend to agree with the "NBA SOURCE" as opposed to someone from some out-of-the-way basketball-rumor website.....

If they said that Toine is in shape, then he is in shape.    Just 'cause Riley says he was not in shape back then(HIS "type" of Shape) didn't mean he wasn't in shape overall.  Heck, compared to the overweight beer-bellied armchair-quarterbacks(or PGs) sitting in front of the TV/Computer complaining that we could do better, I think it's best if all of us just simply Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.!

Danny will sign Toine this coming season then trade him after a few games to set the NBA record for most number of times a player gets traded by one GM in a career.
