well, if we're talking about throwing forearms and elbows, lets not forget dwight howard on his moving screens. at least 3 times last night he not only moved but threw hard forearms into our guys. not one foul call on them.

When Perk is officially suspended for game 4, what are the C's chances to win the game? I put them at 5 percent at the most. A front line of Glen Davis and Brian Scalabrine with Mikki off the bench is simply not going to get it done.

it won't be high...but if you would have told me that boston would have won by 20 in game 2 without paul pierce...i would have laughed at you....who knows...but it will be very tough..i think boston will play hard and keep it close but come up short in the end

I think that Perkins will be suspended though he doesn't deserve to.

I'm mad with this story because it was not intentional, and it happened on a basketball play. Pretty much like the Kobe play, the difference being that it wasn't a battle for a rebound but the setting of a screen (and that it was not intentional). Howard must have did this at least three times in this game and wasn't called for it.

But I think I'm realistic when I say that Perkins will get suspended. The NBA will want to make a statement, saying "The C's don't benefit from non suspensions", especially after the whole Rondo story and the physical plays in the Houston/LA series. And if Perkins is suspended, game 4 is a loss...

I think the above post says it all. Perkins is not suspended so how should the rest of the NBA view the rules? Does one set apply to the Celtics and another set to everyone else? Perkins clearly lined up his elbow and hit the magic player in the throat. I would be happy if the NBA let the players play the game, forget suspensions and the such. But at least make the game fair and maintain uniform rules. As a magic fan this seems like a double standard has just been applied.

Keep things fair. The NBA is playing favorites.

perkins was fighting through a pick and didn't get his forearm down in time. he did not line up a shot against pietrus. he should not have been suspended. alston's hit on house was also fairly minimal, but it was premeditated and had nothing to do with the play. he should have been suspended for that reason...if he caught him on the head in the heat of a play, it would have simply been a foul. howard clearly threw his elbow at dalembert when there was no play happening. clear suspension. rondo was going after miller's arm to stop a shot attempt...it was a play, and its pretty obvious he was going for the arm but missed because it happened in one second and miller is a foot taller, hence the miscalculation. if there is a play happening, and you make contact above the shoulders that is not premeditated, the trend seems to be that that is not a suspension, with kobe being the exception. no favoritism to the celtics here. if perk clearly swung his arm at pietrus, then yeah, him not getting suspending would be ridiculous. that is not what happened.

Dude, did you even watch the game last night? Perk was fighting through a pick and just put his forearm up too high. He didn't even really move. Pietrus exploded backwards and flew across the floor- similar to what Powe does on charges. Pietrus said it himself, just a hard play, not a hard foul- Rondo's fould on Hinrich was MUCH worse than this, and frankly, so was Kobe's, as he actually threw his elbow into the Artest's throat.

I think 'magicfans' (as in your name) should stick to their own blogs and go thank your lucky stars we don't have KG. It must be really tough to never know the feeling of winning a championship- nevermind more than a couple of playoff series...Shaq, Penny, and, uh, Nick Anderson aren't walking through that door...

this thread is now redundant, as perk has not been suspended.

Just curious, but has anyone seen a video of the foul? Because what Perk did was more of a forearm, not an elbow.

it's over, schedule KG's surgery

No offense, but I can't stand this attitude.

yea well, I can't stand the garbage of a job the refs did either, but we both have to live with it

I think we'll win gm 4 and win the series in 6 or 7.
Yup, well Mclovin says "If we lose game 4 it is done."

 :(

Don't put words in Mclovin's mouth. Thanks. Like I said, we'll win Gm 4 :)
