  • The good ole days.
I hope not, but that dumb foul just killed their momentum in this game and I'm sure it'll be reviewed for a potential suspension, which would nearly kill the C's chances in Game 4, which could put them in a 3-1 hole.

It's amazing how huge of an impact a tiny little play and split second bonehead move can have on an entire season.

(Sorry if I'm being overdramatic.... I just hate seeing stupid things like that come back to bite you bigtime)

See: David Thomas' play against Indy last year.  Cost the Pats the game and the playoffs (arguably).
Celtics fan for life.

Was more a get off he half elbow. Shouldn't be a suspension.

Yeah, I hope not... who can tell with the way suspensions are going so far this year?

And I'll give him a pass for this game.  It didn't end up being the momentum killer for this game... they were still within 9 after, but it definitely paused the game and maybe fired up Orlando, so maybe I was right to begin with...

serious overreaction. unfortunate play, but there are A LOT of things that cost the team the game tonight.

Well the reaction is contingent on a possible suspension for game 4. Without that, I wouldn't have said anything.

come in, that was a soccer style flop. Regardless, this team is in trouble. I am afraid unless there is a miracle (I.e., kg coming back), Orlando is the better team.

i understand, however i have a tough time putting blame on one guy for one play. there are a TON of things the team could have done better in the game, as well as game one. i look at those things when being critical, rather than that one play.

The announcers never mentioned even once that Perk's play could possibly warrant a suspension. I'm sure Stan Van will whine about it, but it wasn't really much. It was a Fragant 1 Technical. Maybe a fine at most. But definitely not suspension worthy.

No offense, but I can't stand this attitude.

Doc said this BEFORE today's gm  :) http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/59053/20090508/rivers_players_shouldnt_be_suspended_in_playoffs/

That was a silly flagrant (that Perk did it and that it was called).

Yeah, it was an elbow to the throat...but Perk clearly wasn't looking, it clearly wasn't intentional.  I'm 95% certain Pietrus saw that Perkins had his arm out like that so he moved in, caught it on the neck, and fell backwards in dramatic fashion.

Smart play by Pietrus...tricky little weasel.
