it's over, schedule KG's surgery

No offense, but I can't stand this attitude.

yea well, I can't stand the garbage of a job the refs did either, but we both have to live with it

I think we'll win gm 4 and win the series in 6 or 7.

is this a celtics forum?  that was the most obvious flop ive seen all playoffs.  Perk wasnt looking - thats how you greet people in the paint - with a forearm.  Pietrus made a great flop . . nothing more.  Perkins is the only reason the celts are alive . . by far the most consistent performer this playoffs. this thread is ridiculous.  I love this board but the overreactions are getting out of control.  We will show up next game and the series is going 7.

I don't think the refs had much to do with a game we lost by 20+
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Eddie House by far has been the best player for the Celtics in this series. Perkins has been good the first two, but not tonight. We shall see what happens with the review. Given all of the suspensions being thrown around by the league, I am not overly optimistic.

Here is what ESPN is saying so far about Perk's foul:

Perkins was called for a flagrant one foul with 10:15 remaining for an elbow on Mickael Pietrus. Replays showed Perkins' elbow hit Pietrus in the chin while the two were battling for position away from the ball, the kind of play the NBA has been reviewing -- and sometimes giving out suspensions -- in a postseason that's only becoming more physical.

Didn't Kobe do the same thing to Artest and not get suspended?  I realize that he is Kobe, and this is Perk, and Kobe gets all star treatment, but it looked like the same thing to me.  Am I off base here?  I actually, all biases aside, think Kobe's was more intentional and more severe.  At least it will give Van Gundy one more thing to whine about.

He's not going to get suspended.   I'm a bit baffled that folks (and announcers) are confused by the rules here.  Contact to the head area in the context of a basketball play is not an offense you get suspended for.  You get suspended when *outside* the flow of the game you take a swing - fist, slap, or elbow - at someone.

You don't have to. Turn of your TV and live a happy life.

People are overreacting here.

We shouldn't be worrying about Perkins' elbow. We should be worrying about 39 points in the fourth quarter by the opponent, and about 59.1 percent shooting - both grotesque figures that cannot EVER be overcome.

I think you're right.  The Magic played dead in game 2 after a game 1 (for the most part) blow out.  So far, this has been a series where one team shows up for most of the game and the other one doesn't for most of the game.  Hopefully the Celtics will wake up for game 4.  I think they will.  Game 4 is ours, and home court will be ours again too.
